The other day I shared the construction of a new addition to the layout. I expanded the main street of one of my towns to make it look more complete.
This was the beginning of the project with a construction crew working of the pavement with the extended foam board attached to the main street coming off the layout.
You can see the main street in the background. They haven't even put down the concrete yet.
This is where the joint was made. After several days of work it began to look much better.
The concrete is laid, a guard rail is now in place, road stripes are painted, even telephone poles are in place with the power lines strung.
A much more completed scene that extends main street, even some new buildings have been constructed with lights added. Before it was just a big drop off now it has more completeness and adds to the view.
Thanks,
Robert Sylvester

Those are some sharp-looking street scenes, Robert. Lots of detail there
Thanks for posting the photos!

Hi Robert,
That is a very nice addition to your layout! I love the way you staged it half way through construction. Very creative.

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
Thanks Robert, Nothin' like puttin' the finshin' touches on and havin' it all come together.

I agree with Dave - lots of activity on the street, too. I've got lots of LPBs, but need to get them painted so that my towns will look like people actually live there, too. Nicely done, Robert.
