Best Track Cleaner
Posted by NortheastKingdom1 on Thursday, January 20, 2011 9:23 PM

I read an article It might be MR but not sure around 1988 that someone said that a couple drops of WAHL  Hair Clipper Oil placed every 30 feet Cleaned Track once a month or less,  on everything put down to the tracks and the oil became the best conductor and spread where anything ran without attracting dust but the Grime picked up  spread over the sides if the rail and Weathering them in the process, I now have been using the Clipper oil on 88 feet of double mainline and manages to not only clean all rolling stock plus, 17 used Diesel and steam just recently Purchased without ever using a   Abrasive block or even touching the wheels on any Locos some were in very sad shape but all the can run like now. I paid $ 3.79 for a 4 oz bottle and from what I understand that is more than I will ever use in a lifetime without ever cleaning wheels or track. any questions please ask.
