I am now trying to install my walters T T What would be the best way to line up the T T bridge track to the round house track. The roundhouse is just about 4" from the lip of the T T. Any suggestions please. Thanks,
Sam
Sam,
You really should have been doing some measuring/marking before you installed the pit. You will need to find dead center for your TT, then lay out the radial tracks to your Roundhouse. The Walthers 130' and 90' TT come with a real nice template that has 10 degree leads for their matching roundhouses.
In my case, I used the 90' TT and an Atlas roundhouse that has 15 degree stall spacings. Even after laying out the entire engine terminal before I did any cutting, I still wound up doing some adjusting to get each of those 3 stalls lined up.

Jim,
The T T is lined up fine with the center line to the middle stall of the three stall R H Are the three short 4" tracks soldered to the R H track? Or should have I made the track one peace from inside the R H to the T T.

I didn't solder the short tracks to the roundhouse tracks. I just used rail joiners with feeder wires soldered to the bottom of the rail joiners.
You could just extend the roundhouse track right onto the turntable, but then it is harder to get feeder wires in place.

I plan to line up my tracks using a track gage?; a straight plastic guide about 9-10" long, that is used to keep flex track straight when installing it. I don't remember who make it but there are a couple of mfg's making them in straight and curved configurations. I plan to lay it on the tt bridge track and slide it on to the roundhouse/radial track and then fasten it in place. I will then program the tt bridge to line up with them. I haven't done this yet but don't see why it won't work.
