I once read about a guy who had seperate segments for each part of his scenery all limited bij roads and buildings but without a standard size for each segment except for the maximum. When he set up his railroad, his roadbed was allready attached to the framework. After that he just placed his landscape right out of the box on his layout so there would be no regular cut or any vissible transistion. It looks really neat.
