Penn Lake Commuter Station (Progress Pics)
Posted by nbrodar on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 9:33 PM

The commuter articles in December's MR, inspired me.  I took a break from by viaduct project to work on a the first of a series of Penn Lake Standard Commuter Station.  Here's a couple of under construction pics of the first station:

The walls are modified DPM Arch Window modules, with Evergreen Metal Roofing for the roof, and Evergreen Sidewalk for the platform.  I also plan to modify the stock DPM windows, to further disguise the station's origins.

Once I find some suitable P1K RDCs, I'll be in the commuter business.

The last 6 months or so I have been playing aroudn with the DMP and Walthers "build your own" stuff.  I really like them,  I like that station, big enough for the job but no too big to take up room on the layout.  Thumbs Up [tup]

Here are some pics of the nearly finished Standard Commuter Station. Some signs, a little more paint and it will be ready for business.
