My railroad interest started when I was a young boy growing up in NE Philly. I received my first train set one Christmas and have been hooked ever since. I always enjoyed listening to the stories my Uncle Dick told. He worked for the PRR for many years and retired in the late 70's. My father always made sure we had trains running during the holidays. Whether it was N scale or HO scale, it didn't make a difference to me. I read books and listened to stories and let my imagination do the rest. There is nothing more exciting to me than laying down those first pieces of track and watching a railroad come to life. A true connection to my childhood that most of my freinds and family will never understand. A chance for me to ride the rails during the glory days of the railroads, long before I was ever able to. Thanks Dad!!
