I grew up in South Florida and rode trains exclusively with my family from 1959-1968.  I have ridden on the South Wind, City Of Miami, Silver Meteor, Afternoon (and Morning) Hiawatha from Chicago to New Lisbon to connect to Wausau, WI, City Of Los Angeles, Auto Train (original version) and various other pre Amtrak trains.  Amtrak I have ridden on Crescent (1985), Empire Builder (1995), California Zephyr (2005) and the Coast Starlight (1995).  Rode the Alaskan railroad from Anchorage to Seward in 2013.

I am currently living in Jacksonville, and I am a professional photographer after retiring from the IT field.  I also like boating.
