About Railfan2
I started modeling at about age 10, when I found under my Christmas tree an S gauge American Flyer set. It had been set up as a carpet central then. To my astonishment I came back from school one day and it was gone! My father had put it up in the attic. He was protecting it from my little brother and sister.. Anyway, I restarted my interest again. This time with O gauge trains. I have a 5X9 ping pong size table and I have been working on it for almost 3 years now. I have a lot of time on my hands with my only daughter being away in college. My wife says she doesn't mind as she says this keeps me out of her way. I had the idea of modeling a middle class neighborhood and on the other side of the tracks there are hobo camps...A little slice of life as we have it in present day America..Businesses going bankrupt, people losing everything but their dignity...
