Hello, I am seventy-five years old and have had Lionel 027 trains since the early 1950s.  Unfortunately, Dad sold all of our original rolling stock when the kids left home and Mom and Dad downsized.  I replaced some of the trains when our son was five including a 4 X 8 layout.  The layout was replaced over the years by various Christmas tree trains.  Now we have a four-year-old grandson, and I would like to pass on the train hobby.  So this Thanksgiving, I set up an O gauge crossover loop on the basement floor.  Its a start and was well received.
