Model railroader for 50+ years...HO for many of those, now getting into G scale as retirement approaches. Currently collecting locomotives and rolling stock, hoping to have some operating trackage in the next year or so. Ultimate plan is to build a garden railway loosely representing the Sierra Railway and West Side Lumber Company. (True, those are standard gauge and narrow gauge railroads respectively; the future track layout and operation concept will allow trains from both railroads to run on the same track. Sierra Rly equipment is 1:24 scale, and WSL narrow gauge equipment is 1:20.3 (both of which use 45mm G gauge track) with enough separation between respective trains to make scale differences less noticeable.
