My interest in model trains began as a Christmas gift to my brother and I back in 5th and 4th grades respectively. My father worked at Sears and was stock piling Lionel trains for years. We received about twenty pieces of Lionel one Christmas along with a whole pile of Plasticville buldings. My grandfather built a train room in our home's large garage and my brother and I designed our first O-Gauge layout. Now, almost fifty years later, I have a new layout in my basement and have jumped back into the hobby with both feet. I am looking forward to receiving guidance from other hobbyist with similar interests.
