I have always been fascinated with mechanical and electrical devices. So naturally Trains have always intrigued me. In my first real job I worked as a 1st class Stationary Engineer at a local Hospital operating high pressure steam boilers. My love of trains is a classic story, I received my first set when I was 5 enjoyed that set until I grew into my teens. Life happened somewhere in there and other priorities seemed to take the place of my trains. Now my kids are grown and out of the house allowing me the time and money to dust off my old set and start building my first real layout. My son in-law is from Bosnia. The war in Bosnia disrupted is childhood brining him to the US. Naturally he never had the opportunity to have toy trains. He has enjoyed working with me to learn about the hobby. I have donated my HO trains to him and my grandson (2yrs old) and we are working together on an HO layout in their basement. Of course my grandson is awesome and loves the trains. One of is first words was choo choo.
