Have been around trains most of my life growing up and today. My grandfather, Dad, and 1 uncle worked/retired from the Seaboard Air Line/Coast Line railroad. Had another uncle and my brother also worked for Seaboard RR. I too, as a teenager, worked at the Portsmouth Va Seaboard Air Line RR coach repair shops commissary during the summers.

I retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard and the US Coast Grard Reserve. As part of my work, had to fly many times for the Gov and hopefully will never have to get on a plane again. All my traveling now is on Amtrak or car.
