Coyote Pass & Northern: The Pass

Posted by GlennS

A line of reefers making through the pass.  The background painting was originally intended to be sunset until I learned the the train was headed north.  The best laid plans of mice and men....

Some people believe that the background should not detract from the layout.  I believe that the background should "push" the layout past the wall giving it depth and, therefore, realism.  The background should be at least as detailed as your layout and its features and be given as much attention to planning and execution.

The CP&N is owned by Dick Trotter of Lakeside, CA.

The background painting and treatment is by Glenn Shimada.
