This InterMountain covered hopper, starts as a kit, that I pre assemble for the weathering job on the ends. As the model is completely assembled, I complete the weathering job, using some wash layers to dark the sides, except the areas "protected" by the upper angle. Many UP prototypes, have this angle bar. I replicated this detail using Plastruct styrene angles.
