The little depot at East Fork on the Deep Gorge and Western Railroad is the station nearest the river valley which gives the railroad its name. The rocks are steep and the trees are tall here, and in the spring, the river runs swiftly. Not many tourists ride the narrow-gauge to see the beauty of the remote passes in the Colorado mountains, but those who do are greatly impressed. The DG&W is the creation of Robert J. Graen, and some of his friends and family who have worked with him for over 15 years. Cast rock cliffs, rolling river, over 800 trees on one mountain face alone, as well as detailed structures with interiors and figures, make this layout a railroader's treat.
