Problem with Aristo switches -vs- LGB locos

Am I the only person in the world who is having problems running LGB two axle locos on Aristcraft switches? Whenever I run an LGB 2 axle loco over my 2'R switches they stall out every time. It looks like when the wheels hit the frog the flanges rise us on the frogs and break electrical contact. I've even had problems with my Hartland Mack.[:(]
This is very maddening as I have never experienced this problem with other scales (HO,N). Why is it that after so many years of this scale being around there seems to be no clear recognized standards for intercahngable things like track, switches, etc. [V]
Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution for it. otherwise I will be looking at swapping out all my switches to LGB.Thanks for any suggestions.[;)]
