Once again, let me preface by saying I'm new to all this, just in case my questions sound rudimentary to you all. With that said, I've read previous topics on switches and track. Looked at some technical links about the various tracks. Still looking for answers. All my track right now is LGB, but I have purchased no switches/turnouts as of yet. It's my understanding that if I stick with LGB electric type switches, I'm limited to using their control panel to operate them. I don't have alot of track to lay, so going electric and dealing with the wiring is not my concern. Realizing that people have personal preferences and loyalties to products and not getting into politics, can I go with Aristo switches/turnouts with my existing LGB track? Should I stick with all LGB and just bite the bullet on their expensive controls? Which track is going to cause me the least amount of headache, least derailments, and expense in the long run?
Thanks,
Rich
