Hi there, Märklin now uses a multi-system decoder that allows running on either AC or DC, as well as an assortment of Märklin digital systems. Older engines may have different features! The items will run on Code332 track - however the Code 332 turnouts are a different matter! Märklin's track has Code197 profiles and the clearances in the turnouts are much closer than "G scale" Hope that helps.  ER
