I'm anxious to get thagt warehouse done just so I can try out that roofing material. <br /> <br />FWIW, cypress is a good choice around here for decks, etc. that are to be painted. It won’t last as long as pressure treated Southern yellow pine, but doesn’t have the instability issues either. Mahogany is another wood that weathers very well, but it’s use outdoors is generally cost prohibitive. Cypress down here is pretty cheap, almost as cheap as pine. It’s easy to machine and is fairly straight grained and stable. It should be available in VA, I would think.
