This man is my main mentor when it comes to Garden railways and everything he has advised to do has worked out for me; absolutley everything. I was particularly greatful yesterday, when i had to remove a set of points for service. His advice is to solder all rail joints except those to a set of points, then use Hillman clamps and that is what i have done and again it worked for me. From this i have learned something, when you get your Hillman clamps make sure all the screws move freely within the blocks, if not run some WD 40 through them it will make the whole job of fitting and removing points a breeze.
