LGB has a most reliable 3-way. I've got two and never have any problems. Yes they are a bit on the pricey side, but well worth it, when needed.

Hmmmmmmmmm but they are R1 and all things considered they are more prone to "tantrums" than even the standard R1 switches.

Thiel makes a very nice 3-way switch that looks like a proto switch

I got the website and I saw that they do them by quote. They must make them as they go.

The 3way turnouts are 300 Euro in brass, and 315 in the Nickel-plated version.

Yes, Thiel has offered Nickel-plated track components for many years, unlike LGB who is just starting now. [;)][;)][:)][:D][:p]

We call them points here and they are known as such in most of the English speaking world.

I was surprised that the 3 way points have been found to be reliable, i had just the opposite opinion, but this was just an opinion not necessarily based on fact,. If i had to have one i would have gone for two; two way points.

I use all R3 electrically operateed points working off MTS and track contacts and considering the circumstances i get only a small amount of trouble with a few of them.
