does anyone know were I can get detail parts for g scale diesel parts such as snow plows sun visors for the sd-45.

USA trains sells both snow plows and rotaries, although for the price the rotaries better be working models. http://www.usatrains.com/
As for the sun visor, can't help you there. What kind of layout do you have in G. I'm in the midst of creating a G monster myself and I'm always interested in g scalers' experience.
