Mate what can I say but everything you have said isn't really applicable. 2nd hand track is ok as far as it goes but you may have continuity problems if isnt reasonable clean around the joints. Aristo and LGB trackis fine. 1100 mm and 4' is very similar and is about as tight as you should go if you don't plan to run LGB. 5 watts wouldn't run an ants layout, why not get an LGB starter set ans it has it akk in it and they are on ebay for some very small money Rgds ian
