train-me

Half of my cars are USA, half Aristo, two of my three engines are USA, one 44 toner and one GP 30. My other engine is a Marklin 0-6-0 80class. I have no Aristo engines yet account they do not make any I need. When the GP 40 comes out I have asked Luis if he will do it in the current U S Army red paint. The Army is using GP 40's now . I do not plan to buy engines to be just buying them. So who ever makes an engine that fits I will buy it.

My USA engines just got the Lionel / USA / Trains America radio control and sound. They run great and sound good. The Lionel hand held unit is easy to operate.

Engines I hope to see built by someone are
Alco RS1
Alco S type coming from USA
GP 40 coming from Aristo
2-8-0 modern type with Walsharts valve gear and piston valves coming from Aristo
2-10-0 German 52 class war engine Hope Marklin does one someday.

Next engine this year is a USA GP 9 in the Army red paint.

I do not buy from just one builder. I buy what I need from who ever makes it. My indoor part is all LGB brass track with German signals and my outdoor part is all Aristo SS track with American signals.

I like the USA trains I own, but I like the other brands also. A lot of good stuff out there.

The reason for the German signals and engines is I use to work on the German railways for 25 months and my railroad will have a mix of e

Ron Peterson
Locomotive Engineer U S Army / Nato 1971 to 1974
