Plain and simple, He Lied. Not only that but he then embellished the lie with other lies about his former self dying in a fire? isnt that lie enough to warrent banishement?

I have very few peeves on-line but the worst is to take advantage of the trust and generocity we show to new members of the forum. if he had simply come back as the same ID and said "Hey its Nick and i'm back" nothing would be wrong....but instead now we find out that he lied. I dont like liers, I expect them on other types of forums but here we tend to base or acceptance of other people of the fact that are (in the most basic sense) who they are. Not that they have to provide a bio, but that they are at the simplist level who they claim they are.

Now if a poster calls himself "Trainbastard_A#1" and never tells us where he lives or what he does or anything even remotely personal but asks ligitamate questions, he will get replies based on the questions asked. Its his decision to remain anonomous. But to come on, introduce himself and tell us a song and dance bio about himself and his "freindship" with a previous forum member only to find its a fabrication, is unforgivable to me.

Banish him to the darkest depths of the internet....[}:)]

While I don't condone what "Bert and Mary Poppins A.K.A. NICK A.K.A. Locomotive10" did by mis-representing himself and who he really is, I do think some people are over-reacting.

One thing I am curious about, is he really just a teenager (13 years old)? Or was that a mis-representation as well?

That sir, is the $64,000.00 question!
Considering all the lies to date, why should we assume that too is not a lie?
If he is a kid, he needs to learn to be responsible for his actions. If he is grownup, it is a reprehensible sham that is unforgivable in this format.

[zzz]I must have been sleepy today, because I finally understand what's been happening here. Lehigh, I did get your email. It seems Poppins has been causing some trouble on the Classic Toy Trains forum, and has had several posts deleted. I'm going to email Bergie and see if he's been anywhere else. Let me know if anything crops up in the meantime!

He appears to be behaving himself over at the CCT, apologized etc etc but that being said he hasn't been over here yet.

In the past, he has also been on the Classic Trains Forum. Bob Keller has also been informed of him. He is not what he says he is.

I am a person with a very active inner child. This is why my wife loves me so. Willoughby, Ohio - the home of the CP & E RR. OTTS Founder www.spankybird.shutterfly.com

So he's not really into Mary Poppins? Thanks god for that!!!

When he started going on about Mary Poppins and watching it every day, I was wondering if it was really Nurse Ratchett that he had a daily meeting with.

Well I was going to put him in contact with my Grandaughter Casey, who is the same age ie 14 this month: but i got an inkling that he wasn't all he could be.

I hadn't had much to do with her since we moved up here to Queensland but I have just had her here for 2 weeks and guess what she has been suspended by me for a couple of years, bad attirude ungrateful, trouble maker etc.

Maybe I should still put them in touch with each other.
