We have had a Japanese sounding member of our local club build a turntable out of I think an old phonograph turntable. but Joe don't forget this will only turn the engine not the entire train, unless you have really big one, say 2m in diametre.

If you wi***o build a reversing loop, don't forget that it is nearly impossible to do so without some fancy elctronics, for electrical reasons; ie a loop produces a short circuit and it is tough to overcome. This is why I am so enamoured with the LGB MTS one I have. I connected it up as per the diagram and it works so well and so completely (I'll explain in detail if anyone wants an explanation of this) that you don't even know you have it.

The business about clockwise etc is more important than you would think, if you enter it from both directions you end up with a wye a fancy one it's true but still a wye.

I any case when I get around to it I'll send you a photo of a real one at Thornebury Qld, Oz

Rgs Captain Kangaroo..
