Marty,

They look like birds eggs. Robin eggs are usually blue, but I have never seen them nest on the ground. Some of the critters that visit our railroad: Deer, coyote, wild turkeys, fox, water rats, opposums, chipmonks, squirrels, snakes, kingfishers, herons, mallard ducks and all kind of local birds, skunks, an occassional sheep from our neighbors yard, a hawk that keeps some of the critters under control, bear, etc, etc and we live in a highly populated area of Connecticut!

George
