I have a question for anybody out there. I Built trolley out of wood and I Made it Wide. My question is Can I take a Motor block From Eggliner and Take it apart and make The wheels far apart like this Photo below? It does not have to Eggliner Motor block. If I can do this What Should I use Under the trolley to Mount the wheels and can I buy longer wheel axle
The question I have to ask is "How far apart is wide"? That photo looks like 3.5 inch gauge or would be with adult hands(?) Rather than mess around taking things apart use a proper chassis kit.

I would think it is do-able with something like an egg-liner having never had one in my hands to play with. I would guess you could press the wheels off the axle, press on extenders or replace the axle with a longer one and put the wheels back on, or use new wheels.
problems that you may face:
-wheel base may not match what you are looking for
-widened track wheel gauge will not be as strong as the original egg liner and be more subject to damage
-electrical contact may not work as original
another option which may turn out to be easier in some ways, would be to scratch build a chassis. Simple componants are available on the hobby market which will make your job easier. plastic chain and sprockets are available from radio control retailers use your existing wheel sets and a geared motor with a home made frame from brass or aluminum.
