Detailed AristoCraft Mallets?
Posted by MRH044 on Thursday, September 8, 2011 10:18 PM

I think I remember a while back that Garden Railways ran an article on a detailed AristoCraft mallet, but I can't find it anywhere. I believe that it was a Rio Grande unit. I cant remember the title of the article or much about it, but I was wondering if someone here knew the issue that was in? Thanks!

Also, if anyone has a good picture of their detailed/weathered mallet, feel free to post it!

I think the issue of GR you referred to is Feb 2008 page 84 where Alan Olson Kaibashed at 2-8-8-2 to D&RGW #3507. Good article and great looking loco. You might want to see if GR has this as a back issue.
