MTH DCS System and Aristo Craft switches
Posted by one gauge beginner on Thursday, April 7, 2011 2:36 PM

Help needed. I am brand new to #1 gauge although a model railroader for 35 years. Have laid track for an indoor layout and am ready to wire the new Aristo Craft switches. I can't find any wiring diagram for controlling these switches with an MTH accessory interface unit. I would really like to be able to do this as I have a complete DCS system from my O27 layout and have already bought 3 MTH #1 gauge engines. Am using a Bridgewerks 15 amp transformer for layout control and so far it works great for running the trains. However if I can't control the switches with the DCS system all is for naught. Can anyone out there help. THANKS.

I see that it's been a while since you posted, but on the off chance you still have a question...

You need to use the MTH Accessory Interface Unit (AIU).

The accessory interface unit manual is on MTHTRAINS web site. It has switch wiring info in it.
