Posted by bearcreek on Saturday, November 27, 2010 7:40 PM

I am modeling a Ted Stinson Caboose fromn Garden Railways Magazine, but I am not sure how to Mount trucks on the frame. I am using Hartford Large Scale D&RGW Caboose trucks with 26" wheels. I am modeling 1:20.3 .  Thanks in advance for anny help

I'll often just use a 1" deck screw up in through the bolster. I don't know about the Hartford trucks specifically, but if it's got something like a 1/4" hole in the center, that's perfect. The head of the screw is large enough to hold the truck in place, and tapered on the bottom to center the truck around the screw.

Later,

K

Yhanks for the reply. The hole is smaller than 1/4" but drilling it out is no problem.

Thanks;
