Thanks for your kind sentiments, Kim. To mark the event I've been working on my Liberty Bell train that will make its debut on www.mylargescale.com on the Fourth of July. Up until 1915 the bell made a number of trips by train.

Meanwhile, always remember that that we are two nations divided by a common language. [:D]

Yes the 4th of July. Thanks for wishing it a happy one. Yes Britain and The US had a little differance but remember we have always been friends since!!!!!! (More than I can say for some other country that the US and UK have helped in the past).

Yes i will add my best wishes regarding the 4th july and what Kim had to say about that little misunderstanding is a very healthy attitude all round.

But what he said about giving it back was quite true too, they did give Canada back and they Did give OZ back.not to mention New Zealand.

You Americans are all very good on what happens in your own country but are abit hazy about what happens elsewhere. One of the things you people revolted against was to do with convicts, well when you got your independence guess what happened; they had no where else to send them. After much Pommy thinking and the exploits of one Captain James Cook, they decided they had the biggest and most distant gaol (jail) anyone could have; "Terra Australis, The Great Southland". So on 26 th January 1788 Captain Arthur Phillip landed at Sydney Cove, shot a couple of aborigines, raised the Union Jack and declared this to be His Royal Majesty King George 3rd's penal colony of NSW (New South Wales). This of course went on to become Australia and is the direct result of the American War of Independence and the desire to get rid of, as far away as possible; all the your most undesirable people. And here we are!
