Hi everyone.  I am wondering if anyone knows if there was ever a G scale trolley made of the Chicago, Aurora & Elgin line?    Thank for your help.

There are some very knowledgeable types over on the Yahoo large scale trolley group. I suggest you sign up over there and ask - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/largescaleTrolley/

The Chicago, Aurora & Elgin line streetcars are very, very close to the Pacific Electric streetcars offered by HLW http://www.h-l-w.com/Products/electricloco.htm . The prime difference, at least as far as I can see, is the paint job and the round window in some of the units. There will, obviously, be larger difference between specific car numbers as the exterior changed quite regularly, such as improved headlights, pantograph pole lengths and such. If you are handy in making modifications, you should be able to "bash" a few of the PE Cars into very reasonable CA&E cars. Then on the other hand if you are looking for a "commemorative car", then you may have a great search upon your hands.

The HLW Interurban's look closer...

It would look even better if you bashed your own from a Bachmann jackson & sharp coach...

You can get the parts for the closed interurban ends and round windows along with other goodies from this place http://www.lightrailproducts.com/Kits%20%26%20Parts/kits%26parts.htm
