new arrival
Posted by SNOWSHOE on Friday, December 12, 2008 11:47 AM

The guys on the KMRR are hapy with their new arrival - Hartland Big John.  It came in yesterday and last night they worked on getting the knuckle couplers fitted on.  What a nice looking engine and runs very nice.  It actually runs quieter then my lgb porter -yet the reviews in GR said it ran a little noisy.  It also has some weight to it, slipping should not be a problem.  Here are a few pictures of it.  Now the big decsion is do I paint it black and paint the decking to look like wood or leave as is?????  Im very happy this engine as well as Hartland products.  You cant go wrong.

My plow in the background on siding is getting a nice rust to it.

Nice little engine, I like the look of it. I was wondering about the Hartland 4 4 0. Do you know what scale it is or have any other information about Hartland products in general?

Thanks

Roger

Hey Howdy,

I have bid and lost a couple of times on this engine. Very nice looking little engine. I think a paint job would be a great idea.

I have been following your posts this year and your RR empire is really coming along great!  Keep up the fine work.

                                                               Regards,
