I'll also throw in that my usual parts supplier of choice, Jeff Kane (The Train Tender), has the rivet and centering spring, but doesn't offer the coupler.

You may have to source it from a place like eBay if you can't find a 622-58 Coupler Assembly from these suppliers. People sometimes also will part out locomotives online, and you could probably get a whole truck that way which would have the coupler. Presumably not preferable, but it's a possibility.

You can also try S&W Parts Supply, www.sandwparts.com

Today's Lionel doesn't support the old Post-Wars, you have to go elsewhere for parts.

You're going to need a parts supplier like Hennings.  Lionel hasn't had stock for something of this vintage in years.  At least not since they closed Mount Clemens.

I can't find the coupler on lionelsupport.com. Where could I buy this?

Postwar Coil Couplers

Does anyone know what type of couplers are on a postwar lionel 6250 NW-2 or similar and what mount they use? I couldn't find any documentation of them. Also, does anyone know what kind of rivet are used for mounting them and how to apply them?
