Try polishing up the rails and the moving switch points on your switches.  She is loosing power just long enough for the E unit to drop out when going over your switches.  Also, make sure both pickup rollers on the 2035 are clean. Sometimes they will get a built up of gunk on the roller and it wont pick up power as well as it would if its clean.  A Q tip soaked with rubbing alcohol is excellent for cleaning wheel treads and rollers.  I would make every wheel on that engine clean and shiny.  Every little bit helps.

E-Unit cycles to neutral over switches

Can anyone tell me why my postwar 2035 sometimes cycles into neutral when I go over switches? The e-unit works fine as I cleaned it but it continues to cycle into neutral sporadically.
