Hello there, TGIF!!!!!

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes.

Been an interesting week. Hired a driver  (Mrs) to take me to the office and visit a job site. Did some things that could have been put off but I feel a lot better knowing it's done. My driver had no rest yesterday till my desk got a long over due cleaning. The cleaning crew has standing instructions my desk and print tables are off limits. Took me days to figure things out the one and only time they cleaned and organized. Probably spent 12 hours working this week.

Shoulder feeling better than I expected . It would be easy to over do and screw it up. Been taking the prescribed pain pills more for a sleep aid. Ibuprofen in the day time.

John bummer on the maters. Son scattered a couple boxes of moth balls in the garden. Seems to be working so far and smells good too....Daughter picked 2 grocery bags of green beans and some green peppers today Got some zucchini and egg plant too. A handful of maters are turning.

Tonight is the 1st back in bed. Got some extra pillows to keep me off the shoulder. Sleeping on the recliner wasn't getting it. The pain pills are kicking in.

Night all.

Prayers for those in need

Morning.  Cloudy.  Had some big T'storms roll through Late yesterday.  New roof on all.  New addition, older part of house and garage.  Garage done in a couple of T'storms.  Guys worked through the rain and lightning.  Nothing leaked due to new "paper" which is a rubber like stuff.  Once down, protects.  Shingles over that.

House is a mess.  OSB board over windows where a door will be and a walk through.  Office window gone and OSB board.  That will be drywalled in.  Other side is a new walk-in closet.  Dirt and then mud.  Have to move vehicles early every morning as work trucks block everything.  BURR.  Electrical being moved to new meter base.  All this while busy Mayor stuff.

Got a Mayor thing at noon at local Church.  Something all the time.  Spent most of yesterday at loccal elementary school dooing things with kids.

Hope all hav a good weekend.

I do enjoy reading about everyone's daily happenings but keeping up is not easy.  We have no thoughts about moving any time soon but we are trying hard to delete what we no longer use, but oh buddy, that takes time!  Sharyl was gone last week for four nights and five days so I made a committment to purge the garage.  We have a large and deep two car garage where I keep all of my tools and work bench and I do enjoy hanging out in it.  It's below our living room and below grade on the north and west side, nice and cool in the summer and never freezes in the winter.

I did sell my motorcycle so that really opened up a huge amount of space.  Let's just say that the "garage make over" has taken all of this week and it looks fantastic.  Sharyl really helped big time and I appreciated her help, we now need to load the trailer and make a dump run next week.

One big surprise is that I have sold quite a bit of "stuff" on Craig's list.  I was a bit nervous to use that list but our oldest son has used it successfully and he gave me some great tips.  So far so good but it still makes me nervous.  We still donate quite a bit to Goodwill stores and that I like.

Can't believe that August is almost here, wish winter would go as fast as summer.  Hope all is well with everyone.

Jon

Good evening all,

A very good day.  Trip went well to where we are staying.  Did some shopping in Seville, Ohio.   Daughter coached alums to first victory ever over varsity!!!  3-2!  Yes!  AJ's team gave me something to cheer about as Daly is starting 11th tomorrow.  Best start of season.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Mornin' boys.  Clear and 55 along the Patterson Creek cut-off.  Some random fifeythoughts.

Add conductor hat.  Crew was excited for me last night.  All went well.

If Ravens sign Colin K, Fifey will root for lionroar88's team.

Good luck on the healin' Banksie.

Jonadel, go ahead and rent a 10 yard dumpster.

My new S gauge truss bridge is for the AF line that will span the Old Town area of my layout.  Anyone need info on the vendor, drop me a PM.

Hope to get to the Garrett County Fair this week.

Sad to see Blaney leave the 21.

FifeMax does not like seeing big doe in back yard, not one bit.

O's should trade #13, for a top starter.

Morning all!

82 at 10 am and only to hit 91 today according to the pundits. We'll see. Still saying low 90's for the next 7 days. Norm is 96/97 this time of year.

Fife - looks like you are fulfilling the dream - chief cook and bottle washer!

Dennis - good luck with space for the slot car track!

The Ioway is back. Thumbs Up Sounds good out there.  BTW: we have a local Church that has a food pantry.  They opened a clothes closet.  Gives away clothes.  We donate to that as other organizations sell them.  Know the Golden Knights will miss you.  Just saw on news where a Marine lab [bomb sniffer] was "retired" due to bone cancer.  Gave him the same parade and burial as a Veteran.  That was good.

Now if we could get that old Dr. in South Ga. to pop up.

Additon and all has new shingled roof.  All buildings on the lot except big shelter [metal roof there].

Cooler and less humidity.  Also some breeze.

Trying to take a day off.  Got home at 10 last night.  Earlier, had a 3 hour Church thing honoring black ladies over 95.

Mow tomorrow.

Have a good one.

Morning.  Cooler.  Mow this AM.  Dr. at little after noon.  Special Town Board meeting called by two drama queens.  Confused

Today is Shake and Bake's birthday.  Wished him a happy birthday little after midnight eastern time.  He had 3 hours to go at his time zone.  Wasn't going to sit up and wait.

Have a great week ahead.

Good morning all!

Well the weather guys came through. It only got to 91 here yesterday. Low humidity and nice temps this am. Nice! 93 today and 88 tomorrow! Maybe some rain.

Happy B-Day Don! Happy B-Day

Chief - also saw the bomb sniffing dog funeral. They had a vet on the restored LST to put him down. Made me cry - reminded me of putting our dog down last year. Glad the addition is dryed in!

Buckeye is hard at work making sure SS is ready for him!

Fife - when do you get "cab" certified? "16 tons, and what do you get..."!

It takes some time to carve the Half Moon in the door, not to mention digging a new pit. Whistling

Howdee Peeps !

Not much going on here. Not allowed to do much of anything otherwise the BetterHalf will be giving me the skunk eye. Following my daily PT regimen for the "trapezious" muscle in the back, progress seems to be awfully slow. Sad Got a surgical consult this Wednesday for a different issue, want to get in and get it done. Gettin' old ain't for sissies !

Speaking of "getting old" Happy B-Day to "shake-n-bake" . Cake think this cake needs a whole bunch more candles. Thumbs UpBeer

Later all.

Good Afternoon from sunny 87°F & 38% humidity Southern Ohio,

It was a good weekend on Stockham Lane.  Rained a lot on Friday but I was doing inside stuff.  I re-keyed all the locks on the house and garage.  It seemed like each door was a different brand but all had the same type of cylinder so once the locks were apart they were easy to re-key.  Saturday was full tilt grass cutting attack.  We reclaimed more overgrown area, but there is still more to do.  In the evening after Mass, my bride and I celebrated our 39th Wedding Anniversary.  She made tomato pie, one of my favorite dishes.  Sunday was Mass at 9 am and 11:30 then a football team fund raiser.  A little more grass cutting and another great meal made by my bride.  On the train front I finally won an All Aboard Crossover Panel on ebay at a price I was comfortable with paying.  It’s taken the better part of a year, and a piece of track will need repaired but it is an easy fix.  I think I’m going to set up the All Aboard panels in the soon to be dedicated train room.

Don – Happy Birthday

Roy – I thought it would be a Jonny-on-the-spot too!

Fife – Stopping can sometimes be the hard part

Chief – Once in the dry is a turning point and a little less stress

Time to get ready for turnover

May God bless

Jim

Good evening all,

Sunday was a great day!  Got several autographs and saw a good race.  Conor Daly got a top ten for AJ and we saw the pass for tenth right in front of us! Monday was a relaxing drive across southern NY.

Keep on training,
