fifedog

Mornin' boys.  Clear and 29 along the Patterson Creek cutoff.  Was hoping to wake up with a full head of hair after the "Super Moon", but alas, just a few strands from the ear canal.  Not enough for a comb-over.  Had nice visit with family, and we all drove down to Keyser for dinner.  Good to see Mom out and about for a change.

Caught the end of the Nascar race.  #20 learned what goes around comes around.  Can't get behind any of the final 4.  I'm a life-long Petty fan, so I guess anybody but the 48.

88 - What happened to your beloved Steelers last night.  Sheesh...

sirjames - Condolences.

Roy - POD is on it's way to the Big D.  Headed to Prescott's house.  Tony is rested, relaxed, and ready to take the reigns.

Afternoon fellas

I've been under the weather since Saturday night. Just now starting to feel more like myself.

Took the family to Tilted Kilt for dinner Saturday and while we were walking in Matthew got 'distracted' by one of the waitresses and walked into a wall. (This was quite understandable) We all got a chuckle out of it. Christina is growing up, much too quick for my liking. She really loves kindergarten. She is very sharp and very quick witted.

PSU's season is progressing much better than I could have ever dreamed. Even with all the injuries they are now 8-2 with two games remaining (both winnable) and if OSU beats Michigan in two weeks PSU will play for the conference championship.

The Steelers I simply have no words. Big Ben has been playing on an injured knee, but you would never know it from yesterday's performance. Their issues now appear to be on defense. With as good as PSU has been playing I will take that over The Steelers. And Hockey season has started so we have that too.

Banks - excellent news! praying the prognostication is accurate and no futher set backs!

SJ - I missed what happened. But prayers are being lifted for you as well.

Dougnothegrump - continued prayers

Good evening,

A quick post as I am in Ankara right now and will be working throughout Turkey the entire week.

Doug B. - It is easy to go weeks/months wihout posting.  Neat photos with an even better story.

Brent - PSU is much higher ranked than I would have ever thought.  I hope there are no upsets looming.  Heck, if they win out and we have some more key losses, they could end up in the playoffs.

Good night,

Joe

Joe - one game at a time. Gotta beat Rutgers, then MSU. Take care of our house and let the cards fall where they may. Smile On another forum I frequent there is so much speculation it makes your head hurt.

Evening all. Tough football weekend for me. My Wolverines and Packers!! Uggh..... A minor setback for Blue. We'll take care of Indiana and OSU, though. Sorry 88/Joe!! It will an interesting final two weeks in the BIG 10 East. I don't know what's going on in Green Bay. :( At least Mrs. Mc's Patriots lost so there was no squawking coming from her. Roy - what's going on in Dallas? The Dak Attack! Mr. Romo might end up in the Jets QB graveyard!! Anyways, I missed the "super moon" last night. I went out this evening, but it didn't look any different to me than any other night. Have a good one!

Hello All,

I am Doug Wallace's wife.  Wednesday Doug had his left kidney removed.  The cancer mass encompassed the kidney and was much larger than expected.  They are testing lynph nodes and fatty tissue.

Doug was released from the hospital late Friday.  Last night we were back to ER with major issues and released this morning.

Thank you for your positive thought and prayers.  They are deeply appreciated.

Sherry and Doug Wallace

Good evening all,

Prayers for Dougnotagrump.  Back to work today.  Got caught up in one day on one aspect of the job, which is a nice surprise.  Weather cool but nice for the walk.  Did nothing tonight when I got home.  Did very little on Sunday as well.  I heard that Mike Reagan is leaving Lionel.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Hello there,

praying for Doug. I forgot we share our last name. Please keep us posted.

Took 17 hens and a rooster to the sale barn this evening. All my poultry but one rooster. Then went to a local Mennonite and bought 8 20 week old pullets. Good to go for at least a year. If I'm lucky one of them will hatch a brood and I won't have to buy any next year. One reason for keeping the rooster. The main reason is I like to hear him crow.

Wasn't paying real close attention to the psu game Saturday. Had it on radio while doing other things. Thought it was lost and turned it off. Was pleasantly surprised watching the news later.

Off to bed.

Prayers for those in need

Prayers of healing for Doug.

I've been lurking here recently.  Been busy at work and trying to catch up at home - fall yard work, fix-it items, etc., etc.

Got to start working on the to-do list on the Polar Express layout to get it ready for the Polar Express day on Dec. 10 at the depot.

We swapped to cable service for our phone, internet and TV recently.  One of the features is a DVR.  I tested it yesterday.  Works just fine.  Unfortunately, I had clicked on the F1 practice, not the F1 race :(  At least the driver's championship is going down to the last race to keep things interesting.

All for now.

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy & 43 in the Potomac Valley.  S'posed to have mild weather this week.  Trying to take care of changing vehicle tags and driver's license today.  Needed to unpack old tax records to satisfy the Mountain State.  Went with the "scenic" plate.  NOw gotta find something classy for the front tag (I've always liked the gal on the trucker flaps...).  Also need to get vehicle inspected over the next 10 days.

Angel for Doug and Sherry.

Morning to all of you.  Sunny and 55 degrees.  Busy today and this evening.  Got to roundup 30 turkeys for kids who don't have Thanksgiving meals.  Butter Ball just backed out on what they did last year in furnishing the turkeys.  Off to local gro and see if I can get discount.  May have to fun myself.  Surprise

Bob, Happy B-Day

Mornin Fellas

Continued prayers for Doug!

Chief - that sucks. if I had known earlier our local grocer is selling turkeys for 39 cents per pound! Could have bought a bunch and we could have met up mid way to exchange.

Demay - You're stuck in Turkey? That doesn't sound good. Hope you can get out.

Good Morning,

Hoping Doug has a good day!

Roy, I'll bet you I have electronic stuff older than you! Whistling  Even though I'm sure all yours still work.

Got thru the last two days, barely.  Last year Kay wanted annual passes to Disneyland, Bang Head;  (I am TOTALLY burned out on those places, having worked at both D-land, and Knotts).  So Monday was Disney California Adventure, and Tuesday was Disneyland.  Should be the LAST visits there for awhile.  I took lots of pictures, MAYBE I can appease her with them.  Still have to go to Knotts as they offer free admission for Vets and spouse in November, so that's still coming.

Buddy of mine went to York and bought a Lionel ZW-L transformer believing it included a Legacy system within the xfmr.  He is going to be quite disappointed when he finds out it doesn't.

Chief, good luck with the Thanksgiving dinner prep.  I'm sure you will be able to find plenty of turkeys.  Great jesture !
