Konbanwa and Ohayo Chuck,
I skipped my gym workout this morning so I could see the kids off to school and the wife could sleep in a few minutes longer. For some reason she was extra tired this morning so it was the right thing to do. I had three long meetings that took up most of my day today which limited my productivity, but at least I didn’t have to work late. The older two have piano lessons this evening so we’ll be hanging out at home for the rest of the night.
Jack – That was a funny one. But you won’t be laughing in a few months.
Welcome to the Pot Mononflyer!
I hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill........
Good Morning, Joe..........
It is a cold 18 below. Going up to 17 today with no snow.
This is really getting to be a pain. Furnace is running wide open. Dogs don't want to go out. And the sun is shining. I will take it easy today.
Breakfast is an omlet today.
Y'all have a great and warm Wednesday.
Chuck

Hi GUYZ,
0 here tis morning. Gonna get to 17 today. Another day inside working on mountain. Hope to get r done today?
CHIEF, seriously hope all is well for you down there. Take care of those puppies. 15.5 years is a long time hope he gives you a few more.
RT, FUNNY and I love it wish I could make one of those.
MIKE C, keep an eye on it.
CHUCK, you did it got ATLANTA stopped in grid lock. Bad government down there they let everyone leave at the same time and did not heed the snow and ice warnings. Poo shame on them.
Stay frosty my friends,
Mornin' FellasWell the weather idiots missed it again! Seriously is there any other profession in this country that can be so bad at their job and still have a job? Besides a guy living in a big white house? We weren't supposed to get any snow last night, just colder temps... well open the garage door this morning to take the kids to daycare and we have 1/2 inch on the driveway. Nothing to get all riled over, but really!Prayers out for Don! Still trying to get my BP down so I don't have to go on meds... not working out as good as I had hoped. Cut out the sodium, caffeine, soda, and most of the carbs and it is still quite high. May just go on the meds for a month and see how it goes. Had to do this two years ago... ugh.

Mornin' boys. Mornin' English. Sunny & 10 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Only took a glancing shot of SNOHIZO here. How fitting that Ted Turnerland took it on the chin.
[angel to those on the mend. Seems to be a lot this month. Hope our warranties are not all running out at the same time.
The Scale Show is at Timonium this weekend.
Morning all. Got 3 inches of snowhio. Street in front of house is not clear but down to pavement on all lanes. Down east [I 95 corridor is bad and east] where the farm is got several more inches. Dogs and cat don't like going out except Finn. He wants to romp and run in it. He doesn't get cold anyway with all that thick hair.
Frozen water near Columbus OH. Come from Buckeye's tears caused by us not getting more snowhio.
Got a call from Don B. at 7:30 my time [4:30 PT]. Talked my ears off for a long time. Means he is doing great considering the circumstances. Got all grades of metal "cage" around his leg instead of plates inside. Says 4 months at the most.
Think I'll get out and walk some. Need to. Wife baking sweets. Go to gro and Hardees for biscuits. Two blocks away. Going to cook a lot of deer sausage. Makes great breakfast biscuits.
Hope all are safe, warm and dry.

Good afternoon all,
Condolences to all you guys in the snow. Glad to hear that Don got throught the surgery. Hope this time they got it right. Also best wishes to Doug M. and Jon for recovery.
Got through working on the swimming pool for the last two days and now it looks clear finally. Still need to clean out filter though. Have to wait on son to do that.
I'm really frustrated today about how my sister's dental work is going or should I say not going. I called her today thinking that they had done some major stuff last Wednesday only to find out that they got to the dentist office twenty minutes late and were turned away and had to make a new appointment for this coming Monday. Her daughter who does the driving is having some problems herself with a possible mini stroke and having to get that checked out. I don't know why somebody didn't call ahead to the dentist if they were running late. Duh! I was so mad I could eat nails this morning and still trying to calm down. My sister needs a back up driver but she doesn't have one and the dentist is not close by. I can't believe that the state of Florida doesn't have some services for seniors (like a ride to a doctor) or something. The state of Florida? I think I repeated myself. If I lived back there, I would be kicking you no what today and taking names. Sorry for the rant.
Started throwing out some of my old train magazines yesterday. It was painful but it was good to get started on it. Got to make room for something else. While doing that I ran across a copy of a TCA Quarterly Magazine from the early 90's with cover done by Ward Kimball showing an artist holding up his thumb and squinting at his subject which was suppose to be a Lionel 400E Blue Comet engine but it was held by a simi nude lady. The original painting sold for several thousand dollors at a TCA convention in California not long after Ward died. I just wonder if the magazine is worth anything? Maybe I should put it on E Bay.

Wow Chuck!!! I'm laughing so hard that it brought tears to my eyes. You may have overshot Roseyville a little bit but you sure nailed the state overall.

Just a quick check-in from Taxachusetts, land of the MXXhole drivers.
Don.......I hope today finds you feeling better. I notice you don't have a cast. Does that mean we have to sign your leg with a sharpie permanent marker?
Brent......I'm with you. I have been riding the edge with some of my vitals but have been able to keep the Docs and their pills at bay.
DougM.....I hope likewise that today finds you healing well and avoiding getting into trouble with the wifey. Thank you SJ for the update on Dougie.
Way to go, Chuck!!! Your aim was impressive. Fire some more snow Southeast!!!
Chief......I tease one of our friends who like you have 4 dogs. I say that two dogs make you a masochist and four dogs make you certifiable......a danger both to yourself and to others. Thank you for the update on Don. Saw on the news that the Snohio really messed things up down your way, accidents and traffic jams and such.
LAZ.......is the mountain finished?
Gotta run.

IF IT WON'T COME LOOSE BY TAPPING ON IT, DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT. USE A BIGGER HAMMER.
Evening all. Street in front of my house is clear. Actually NC faired pretty good. Now, Atlanta got zonked. Mainly because they did not heed the forecast and warning from the Weather Bureau.
Here is a video of Frankie [my son] playing [he calls it work]. It moves so fast. it is hard to recognize him. He is the one driving the remote control car [he use to race them and built this one]. I think he might be the first guy repelling down the wall.

Good evening all,
IT did it again. Good thing this was a slow day. Got to play indoor soccer tonight. Good day. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,

Good Evening! 12 degrees @ 9:30 Down the Jersey Shore.
Chuck: I did not know that the Jersey Shore was part of Roseyville, or did they set up deflectors and sent us 3" of Snow!
Cold quiet day. Finally got my haircut and took Doray for PT.
Doug M, Don B and Jon: Speedy Recoveries!
Brent: Good luck with the BP.
Jack: This round was for a couple of shots, well exam, stool sample, flea @ tick meds, heartworm, etc= $438.60 lol
Chief: Good luck with Burg. Impressive Video. Thanks for sharing.

BERLIN Ohio— A herd of dairy cows nearly lifted the roof off their barn in central Germany Ohio when methane released by the animals caused an explosion.
Police in Hesse Columbus state said in a statement that a static electric charge apparently triggered the detonation, and a spurt of flame, on Monday at a farm in Rasdorf Gahanna. The roof was slightly damaged and one cow suffered light burns. No people were hurt. But, Buckeye was blown out of his bed.
Police say 90 cows are kept in the shed and it wasn't clear why quantities of methane had built up. Bovine and Yankee belching and flatulence releases large quantities of the gas.
Spent the morning with the kids who were home from school again, 9th snow/cold weather day of the school year. Temps moderated enough today for there to be school tomorrow.
This winter has taken it's toll on man and machine. Furnaces not working, pipes freezing, automobile issues of all kinds. Roads with more pot holes and coal patch than pristine surface. Really hard for those working outside, got to be tough.
York will be a celebration this year that winter is in the rear view mirror!

Hello all
Back on the mountain. First night is always a long one. Slight chance of snow for us this weekend. They did get some flurries last weekend up here.
Friend w/ the Honda did get her ins. money. Car was prob fixable, but it had done its bit for king and country and the damage wasn't its only problem. Replaced the battery in another car they had been storing last night so they could have some time to look for another car. Plymouth Breeze w/ battery in fender. Not a hard job, but really? What were they thinking.
Good news on Don and Doug.
Understand there was some snow in North Carolina, mostly eastern North Carolina...:)
Going to try listing my first ebay item. An old Lionel transformer I bought new prob 25 years ago to run the #258. Works fine, but not crazy about the control lever mechanism. Plus I now have plenty of other transformers. Still has the original box and warranty paperwork. Figure I start it cheap and see what happens. With my schedule I'll have to list the items while I'm on the mountain, so if sold I can get them in the mail when I'm in town. I have about 10 or so items I want to sell to help downsize the storage unit.

Konbanwa,
I don’t have much to report about today. It was just another uneventful day at the office. The wife made sausage and sauerkraut and roasted potatoes for dinner; it was delicious. It’s now time to relax by reading the paper with a nice cup of coffee.
SP Ray – I’m sorry to hear about your sister’s woes. I would have thought Florida would have some sort of senior shuttle too. I suppose her town/city is not large enough. You should give eBay a shot with that TCA quarterly – you never know.
Brent – I hope your BP comes down. It seems as if you’re doing the right things diet wise. I wonder if some moderate exercise would help.
Chief – That’s a neat video.
Don B. – I hope the recovery goes well.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill............
Good Morning, Joe......
It is 1 degree. Going up to 34 today with sunshine.
Today is a busy day. I have some chores to do and paperwork. I will be busy until lunch. Maybe a nice nap, later.
The usual for breakfast on the dining car.
Y'all have a great Thursday.
Morning all. Cold and sunny. Warming to the 50's by weekend. Rain next week. Send some to CA. They reported low of 8 degrees while standing by an outdoor thermometer showing 20. Said it was a -2 in Tarboro [near the farms]. My outside thermometer indicated 17. ????
Off to the Dr's ofc. for a visit to new cardiologist [female]. Old coot I was forced to take is the one that made me do test not needed. Wanted ins. money.
Highway in front of house is clear.
Atlanta was like we were several years ago. Everyone including DOT did not move until it started snowing and icing. Caused grid lock. Now we took early action and no problems.
Don B. is headed home today.
Have a good one.
Cloudy and 17 degrees.
Doug M. reports he is trying to move around some, a good way for him to get up and going again.
All the best to Don B, glad he is doing well.
Joe like chasing down and keeping up with two children under the age of 5 isn't considered at least mild exercise
Sorry couldn't resist
Morning all still cold but warming up suppose to get to like 45 today I think. So its at least heading in the correct direction.
Hope all having good day will talk to you all later need to go and sign all my paperwork to retire 7 feb
Demay SP Ray – I’m sorry to hear about your sister’s woes. I would have thought Florida would have some sort of senior shuttle too. I suppose her town/city is not large enough. You should give eBay a shot with that TCA quarterly – you never know.
I have finally calmed down about my sister's problems. There were some other circumstances that I was not aware of. Also she lives in an unincorporated town with no local government/services. Governed by the county.
Don B. and Doug M. prayers for good recovery.
Chief, exciting video of Frankie doing his thing. Front of car looks sort of like a half track cab. I drove one of those in the Virginia National Guard back in the 50's.
I think the swimming pool is straighened out now. Looks clear except a racoon decided to wash his hands in it last night and left a little dirt plus some foot prints.
Forcast calls for a little moisture tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath. The Times forcast is calling for showers. Even a drizzle woud be better than nothing.
Up at 4:30am today and off to the hospital before 5. The Doctor pronounced that Mrs. Buckeye knee replacement surgery went "perfect". A nap and then back to hospital.
Buckeye on Mrs. buckeye knee surgery sounds good. Question thou is this getting to be contagious first Hudson John's wife with both knees and now your wife. Still glad to hear all is well.
got home from some running around 6" below the sign on my front door that says no soliciting was a advertisement from Time warner wanting me to connect with them I called and told the guy you know I have a sign right on my door no soliciting I could take you to court for this understand stop it now
Had to have some fun lol just get tired of the flyers we get here.
Hope all had a good day
Buckeye, make sure you take good care of that Hanover College graduate. There are not too many of us. IT still has not solved my issues I have with IT today. Go figure. The evening was nice as we went to see Frozen again. I realized why I was so sore from soccer last night as I played offense the entire evening. Every time the ball went forward, I had to make a run with it. Do not have to do that with defense. Just hang back and wait for the ball to come to you. All day staff meeting Friday. That will be a day wasted. Good to hear good news on Doug M and Don B. I see where NASCAR is tinkering with the "chase" again. I would love to see someone win 35 races, finish dead last at Homestead and have someone else win the "championship". What a joke. Indycar could advertise, "All our races count toward the title." I hope everyone has a good day.
Good Evening! 14 and Cloudy in South Amboy, NJ.
Stayed over Mom's tonight for my weekly visit. We had a nice dinner and a lot of laughs making fun of my relatives growing up.
RT: Glad you are enjoying yourself. No more pressure!
Charlie: You are right! York will be a celebration! Glad that I am retired and not working these storms. And to think that the Electric Company that I worked for took over Long Island. Glad that I retired!
Doug M: Glad you are doing well!
Buckeye: Glad your wife's knee replacement went well. My wife, Doray, had both replaced on New Years Eve. She is doing well. Good luck to your wife.
Chief: You guys learned from the past, Atlanta did not.
