Morning all.  Been to Sunday School Seniors' breakfast [Wifey subs for that class].  Big meal.  Waffle, grits and 3 egg omelet.  That's my meal for today.

Somehow, my compatibility view was turned off and would not let me into the forum.  Could view every thing at Trains.com but the forum.  Got it fixed now.  I think my anti-virus does a sweep of sites that could cause problems and etc.  Hits CTT every time.

Wet and hilly but no ice here.  Think Pat up in VA has gotten some. Warming here.

Another cold morning here but need to take a walk anyway.

Anybody on here ever use a product called Bullfrog Snot?  It is used in place of traction tires on model trains.  It is a rubber like liquid that dries on your wheels.  Anyway, I discovered that mine had thickened in the bottle but it has not been outside in the unheated garage.  I know there is a warning about freezing but this is in the house.  A small bottle cost $25.  I only used it once or twice.  Think I  will ask for a refund or a new bottle.

Busy week ahead with three Christmas parties counting TCA next Saturday.

later,

Ray

Hey SPMan,

How does the Bullfrog Snot work?  I was thinking of getting some for my Flyer engines.

Played train last night under the tree with AF Trains.

Evenin' Y'all.

Finished up jury duty this afternoon.

Darn cold here last nite, partially froze a bucket of water on the patio last night. But it still isn't bad compared with what some of you guys are getting hit with.

Traindood, Good to hear from ya ! Stop by more often. Thumbs Up

Fife, I've got four of those little Docksiders and just love them. On mine it seemed like it took a little while for the smoke units to start working good, the heavier the load the better they smoke. They are a trip when I triple head them for Christmas or halloween. Whistling The coupler is an issue I've never encountered though. The Poor Man's Cab Forward when run in reverse. Laugh

Time for me to call it a night.

Konbanwa and Ohayo Chuck,

I was too busy with flag football practice and a deacons’ meeting to post yesterday.  It was about 40 degrees and cloudy when I went out for a run this morning.  The rain came as I was finishing my run and it rained for most of the morning.  It’s too bad it wasn’t colder or it could have been snow.  The wife made vegetable soup for dinner and it was great.

traindood – It’s nice to see you are doing well.  I’m sure thrilled with all the Yankees’ recent deals.  Merry Christmas!

Mornin' Fellas

Working from home today due to Buckeye and Chuck playin around with the snow cannon. It appears The Chief has been up to his shenanigans again and messed with their sites. We're in for another 6+ inches today.

Fife - forgot to mention in my post yesterday, but the 'whistle' on the docksider isn't much of a 'whistle' it has been a long while since I've run mine but I remember the 'whistle' being rather annoying!

Brought the NPC Legacy GP35s out last night. Opened the non-powered unit first and heard some rattling in the shell... set it asside. Opened the Powered unit, put it on the tracks, powered up to 18v, grapped the Cab1 and fired her up! Sounds are awesome on this unit. Then grabbed the instructions for the TMCC Caboose and got it running - it plays a Christmas carol, sleigh bells, and some other stuff I can't get it to do right now (don't think I have the Train setup correctly).

Christina really has fun with the trains, and Matthew again seemed to enjoy watching them. Not sure what else I will put out this year, not doing the Christmas Tree Lot, Ice Rink, or Santa Pylon due to Matthew wanting to eat anything he can put in his mouth! Maybe put the holiday house out and Santa's Teddy Bear Repair shop... we'll see.

Morning.  Wet and warmer.  Rain should stop for a few days and then back for the weekend.  Did more Box work for a few yesterday.  Maybe more tomorrow.  Will do a photo of a long NS train of bathtub gondolas being pulled by 4 diesels and pushed by two.  Legacy seems to work great.  May try it with MTH later but some of them can be "stubborn".

Children driving me nuts.  Cat and dogs want to go out constantly and its misting rain.  As soon as they get out, right back in. Bang Head

Brent, best stay in today and stay safe.  BMW's are not the best snow plows.  They will go but have to watch for those other folks sliding into you.

Chuck and LAZ, reason you are getting the snohio is you messed with my Cowgirls. Whistling  Keep slipping over the M&D and turning the snow cannon. Laugh

Aloha. Oh my, it is brisk outside: 3 below and about 17 below with the breeze. Hope the car starts tonight. I am always impressed that Metra's F40s just keep chugging along in this.  My youngest had his first band concert - he's a trumpeter. Best I can say they were in tune and the program was short. Boy, that was a good game last night - Ditka sure looked cold. The Bears' backup QB McCowen scored 4 passing TDs and ran another in - something no Bears QB has accomplished since the 70s...

Afternoon fellas and gals;      Ditka sure is a spry 74  year old God bless 'em.    Those Bronx bums can spend and spend, but how desperate they must be to win.  As usual they sign retreads from other teams hoping somebody will have a good year. How sad is that?   I boldly predict  implosion, however it's fun to watch all the "followers" squirm as they try for the prize.    later.

Mother Nature can kiss my ______ ___!

Seriously I just finished clearing the driveway and it starts snowing again! Not hard, and isn't sticking to the driveway, but REALLY!!!!!!

Chief - my 325xi will go as long as there isn't more than 3 inches on the ground. Over that and my ground clearance prevents movement. One of the reasons why I am looking into getting a Jeep Grand Cherokee when I am done paying on this. I plan to keep the 325xi because, well, it is so darn fun to drive!

Traindood - WB Thumbs Up

Wonder how long it will be before Christina asks to play with the trains tonight... my bet is she says "Hi Dadda - can we run choochoos?" as soon as she walks in the door.

Hey guys,

I'm still limping along, had a little issue with some tape.  It seems I'm allergic to it, created a scare for possible infection, but got it all taken care of.  BTW I just realized something today, as soon as I finish this healing process, I will NEVER have to worry about breaking my right leg!  The steel that is there may rust, but will never break!  So there is good news after all.

Mother Nature can kiss my ______ ___!   I'm sure the words to be inserted in the above post is intended to be "good intentions".  You don't want to fool with Mother Nature or the Chief, take it from ME.

Traindood, welcome back!  BTW just wondering are your neighbors still out there mowing the grass? Cool

Don,
I don't think they use steel. My femur and wrist plates are titanium. Also, be real careful till the bone forms around the plate because you can torque it in such a way that the screws can pull out.

Good evening all,

Sorry I have been away.  Just got busy doing stuff in the evenings and the weather has been a drain on the commute.  Battled slick roads the past two days.  Hopefully will be clear the rest of the week.  I will post more on Thursday as Wednesday is soccer night hopefully.

Keep on training,

Konbanwa and Ohayo Chuck,

Last night, the kids and I watched It’s A Wonderful Life.  That was the first time they saw it and they seemed to enjoy it.  I don’t have much to report on for today.  The weather was partly cloudy and the high was in the mid-50s which was way too warm.  The flag football team had practice tonight and I grabbed some takeout for dinner.

Chuck – Please send as much snow as you can.

traindood – It’s great to see your feelings for the Yankees haven’t changed. Wink

Laz – I think most of the team is still motivated, but I have a couple of kids who are only playing because their parents forced them and want free babysitting for a few hours a week.

Joe

Morning all.  Sunny and cold but not as cold as up Nawth. Laugh  Got a lunch appointment and then work here putting up Wifey's fall decorations so she can get in her side of the garage.  She just dumps them in and then waits until I feel sorry for her.  Same routine after Christmas.

Maybe more Train Box time.  Tomorrow is a real busy day.  No hunting this week.  Wifey suppose to visit sister in VA Friday night and come back Sat. PM.

Chuckster must be frozen in this AM.  No Cheerios.

Mike, glad to have you back even though you promote that un-American sport. Wink

LAZ, don't give up on those deer.  Go get them.

Chat later.

Aloha. Plenty cold here with more snow for the morning commute. When it's so cold, it's sure hard to remove. But taking public transit made it easier. The Chief is right - it would be a good day to be in his Train Box.
Joe, that's a great movie to introduce the kids to during this time of year.

Until recently, just knew of him.  Recently we became friends.  Will and I are big commuter rail transit supporters [the painted commuter rail train he shows is a concept].  Notice he has son on his layout.  Will is older than me.  His son is about 15.  Second wife [first died I beleive] is about mid to late 30's.  Got her picture in his cell when it rings.  He always says this is my wife and she sure is pretty [she is].  He's really a great guy.

Now as for Buckeye's comment.  He's still upset over Ohio State. Whistling
