ChiefEagles KRM Work tomorrow for minimum wage. Just because I can on my Union earned pension. ( " if you can take a joke" ) Oh yeah, I am not Pi$$ed just puzzled. There is a reason that Corporations and Unions agree to Anger Management for the over the top people. Where did this come from? I'm confused. What does this have to do with my photos? Maybe a completely different subject. I think this was suppose to be closed. I think I need to take a vacation from the Pot. Getting under my skin.

Funny how some don't drop something after a modrator has asked the subject be drop. They just have to have the last word period.
jeffrey-wimberly OK guys, this is starting to get personal. That's enough about the unions. Let's move on to something else.

Doug Murphy and Hudson John, Happy birthday
A little cooler today but not much.
Need to get caller I.D. Too many salesmen calls for stuff I don't want. Never buy anything over the phone anyway. Never know who you are dealing with.
Jeffrey, I saw Randolph Scott in another movie yesterday. Came in on the middle of it. He was pilot on some kind of antique flying boat airplane with twin engines mounted on top of wing. Yokes looked like steering wheels in an automobile. Must have been low buget film. Also shows this thing landing and taking off in rough seas that would have been impossible but Hollywood never let facts get in the way of a good story. I remember that line in a Statler Bros. song "whatever happened to Randolph Scott"? Well, I think we found him. I think his film "Western Union" was a good one as I recall.

Yep your here Jeff.
Lunch break,
Beautiful day for Doug's birthday.
City of Chicago is going to use firefighters to protect children walking to schools?
Lunch of Shrimp Almond Ding and Shrimp Fried Rice left overs.
Working on the tunnel liner.
Brent, was it you that said I need three coats of the plaster cloth?
Fife, How much timber do you have on the land? You may consider having a logging company thin it out by removing the dead and dying. They have machines that can grind up the biomass that is left over. Just a thought and you could get a little money too. Do you have to construct your driveway to? If so how long?

Well it didn't the mobile site is worthless, had to open the full site on my iPhone to get to the last post.
Good morning. It's 72° with 43% humidity. It'll be sunny with a high of 85°.I'm not feeling good this morning so I'm getting a slow start. My balance is off by quite a bit so the room seems to tilt this way and that. Think I'll stay inside today. I probably won't be doing much of anything on the layout.Today's word is dokualela. It's something any model railroader is familiar with. It translates to 'locomotive'.
It's a glorious morning here in the future Right to Work State of New Jersey!!! (if ya can't take a joke....)
Fife...Seen this in 2 states, here's my recommendation: The problem mostly is the under brush. Clearly you need at least 100' from your structure cleared away (John if I'm wrong, make the corrections). At the forest/tree line, if you clear out the under brush, you are miles ahead. Now, I get that clearing 10 acres is a big chore, bur if you clear an added 100' back, that's an advantage. It's the under brush that is the problem. I'll check with one of my fellow firefighters as he works Part Time for the State Forestry Service as a brush jumper.
DougM - 25 again?
Jeff - thanks for the edit on my last post - And I hear ya on that $30....did the same yesterday.
Going to get my new rear springs for the Reliant, should bring up the aft to sit better.

Hey, perhaps I could piece together a smallish narrow gauge rr that a small mining hopper can cascade down, ala Indiana Jones. Dual purpose for fire escape down the hollow, or disposing of future boyfriends of Alexis.
Now...to sell it to Wifey...
Doug and John,
Fife,
I am with Doug. A layout building occupying the 10 acres would mean less yard work. What part of WV?
I am glad I took the week off with all that I have to do to be ready for next Monday. Had an appointment yesterday for blood work and tests. The nurse seemed like she was from Chief territory though.
Waiting by the phone for the bodyshop to call, although I am not sure how to get the Mustang back here since PennDOT has the main road torn up. I don't want tar and gravel on fresh paint.
Don't think they'll like me at the shop when I pick the car up because I will be on the lookout for any and all flaws in their work. If it is anything less than perfect, I won't be happy.

Doug: Happy Birthday!
Going to be heading soon. So long everyone!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mr MURPHY.
Temp this morning is a cloudy 53.
No major plans for today. Ran some trains yesterday afternoon and had a chat with Brutus last night...We missed Friday the 13th by a long ways this month....S.J.
KRM fifedog Our 10 acres is on top of a crescent shaped ridgeline. Zero drainage issues. A gully separates us from the mountain bottom. From a tactical viewpoint, we got "the high ground". Fife, Sounds like you have it covered. We installed a berm behind our shed to surface drain water coming down the north slop into one of 5 ravines on the property. I sure am glad we did that.

Just a quick drop in to say yes I'm still here. Been super busy. My storm door turned into a total new front door (which is still in my garage).
Layout is coming along. Will post pics tonight.
Happy Birthday Doug!!!
Aloha. I am celebrating my birthday at work - although it is suddenly a beautiful summer day. Maybe Ivor will get a flanged friend today. This sure is interesting about defensive landscaping. I thought Fife was going to put in a huge outdoor layout taking up all 10 acres. Wouldn't that solve everything?

fifedog Mornin' boys. Sunny and frosty in the Mid-Atlantic region. Hope my palm tree makes it. WV was breezy and cold. The mountain gave Fifepup one last snowfall before as we left. He was anxious to get home. Had a real nice visit with Fifemom and Poppy, and even sang for my supper. Checked on our property; still there. There's a concern statewide in WV with potential wildfires, which really got me looking into escape routes, and defensive landscaping. Some of our smoke-eaters can chime in. HudsonJohn/cnw1995 --->

Morning all. Was Yankee cold here earlier. Got to record low 39 [RDU airport but warmer in Roseyville]. Really warming fast. Low 55 tonight with high 87 tomorrow. Wow, fast warm up.
Happy Birthday Doug M. Doug has been a looong time member of the Pot.
