Good Morning, 47 and Raining Down the Jersey Shore.

Started the morning off right. After going for a quick walk with the dog, (the cat was the smart one, she stayed in) I ran the trains for a bit. I gave my PW Black 221 a good run after a clean and lube job. Today my wife and I are going to lunch and then it is off to King of Prussia, Pa to hear a sell job on a "Vacation Adventure". Remember this is not time share.(Yea, Right!) And to claim our free cruise! (This should be interesting) This came out of filing out the entry for a Gift Certificate for Grybowski's at a Greenburg Show. This is our Friday Day Out Trip.

Brutus, RJ, BOC: Be careful with the storm.

RJ: I know what you are going thru with your co-worker. Been there. I worked 40 years for an Electric and Gas Co. Make the best of it.

Brent: Good Luck with your projects.

Brutus: Jim, glad your home escaped damage. Going to miss you at York.

BOC: Barry, Careful with the ice. I hope you do not loose your power.

Chief: Glad that TWC solved your problems.

RJ: York is the "Eastern Division - TCA York Meet". It is held in April and October at the York Fairgrounds, York, Pa. It is one of the best train shows if not the largest. You can get more info @ www.easterntca.org and tcamembers.org . People come from all over the country to attend.

Prayers for all in need.

Have a Great Day!

John

Good morning all,

It is cloudy and cool in SE Indiana.  Work has tapered off slightly.  Got a lot of minor projects done yesterday.  Watched Glee last night.  Was totally disgusted with plot last night.  Most of the time iit is pretty good, but last night was awful.  Took a training session on youth sports and concussions last night.  It was pretty good.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Temp is 37 again.

Spring bulbs are up and grass is green from all the rain but the warm air just ain't get-n here. The Chief needs to make a long speech, maybe that would help. We will have our Friday out meal about 1pm and then I'll be done for the day. Except maybe some Banilla in the eve. The working folk don't think so but Fridays seem to come pretty fast around here...S.J.

Good morning

It was 32 when i came into work. Guess our high might reach a whole 40. Rain drizzle mixing to rain snow and then snow tonight. Plants don't know if they should bloom or move south.

Still have flooding going on and power outages. Hope to see most of it cleared up by Sunday. next week looks like more rain coming!

I think i asked a few before but what is this York thing i see talk of?

Jeffrey-Wimberly are those pics you include in your postings your personal layout? If so they look great - would like to see on of most of the layout in one shot.

Kev thanks for the info ... I'll be in touch as I progress through the layout.

That's a short note for now. Wish I had more train time and less work time but need to fund the hobby some how.

From the thumb of Michigan (does anybody live close to it??) have a great day!

Just returned from a trip to Clarksburg, WV.  WV is full of railroad history.  One can find old tunnels and bridges hidden in the mountains.  There are mountain towns whose only existence was due to the railroads.  US 50, the road I travel, parallels the famous tracks of the B&O National Limited, long ago abandoned, but the tunnels and bridges remain for the North Bend trail.

Gloom and more gloom on The North Bluff. Spring has not sprung here. May hit 53 degrees today

Good morning. It's 43°F with 100% humidity. It will be sunny with a high of 75°F.

Still have some more clutter to clean up on the layout. Surprising how fast it builds up. I have a train running this morning. Three geeps and a slug pulling twenty-seven cars. I'll switch them out later and give the FP7's a run.

Good night all.  Was a pretty day.  Breezing and pollen.  Wifey and I ran an errand right after dark.  Looked like driving in smoke.  Has not rained yet.  Suppose to have by now.  May get storms by morning.  Will wash all this pollen away.

Shut down A/C during the day.  Pulled quick disconnect.  Used coil cleaner [deluted with water and sprayed from tank sprayer] and waited a few.  Hosed it clean.  What a dirty coil.  Now it will work better.

TWC [Time Warner Cable] has fixed my no sound on 516 Sportsman Channel.  Swapped the whole house DVR box back to living room.  All OK.  They called and said they found something that engineering had to fix.  Who cares what, it works.

Sleep tight.

BRENT.....why is Christina without her layout?  What kind of Dad are you?  So what if the family room is leaking like a sieve.  Get on it!!! Laugh

Jack - I think you misinterpreted what I meant by 'fix the skylight'. The skylights are fine. The issues with the sunroom are all drywall/spackle related. After I broke my arm I was laid up for a couple months and not permitted on ladders, so when I finally was well enough to get back to work I had to rush things so I would incur additional fees for the building permit. On one wall I used pieces of drywall instead of full sheets and then rotozipping the windows... lesson learned. All I am doing is filling in the low spots, and feathering out the high spots. Once I am done and have everything repainted I will hopefully be satisfied. It has been driving me nuts for 2 years that it wasn't done perfectly the first time.

As for the layout... I need time, which has been eaten up hosting family, doing car repairs, doing home repairs, etc, etc. Hoping to get something together soon. Just have to decide if this is going under her bed or in the basement... leaning toward under her bed right now.

It's a whole 34* here.Super Angry

Well missed posting this morning. Had another early start at work. Had to work on a radio and antenna on a customers 40' residential tower. Froze my butt off. I had to bust ice off the antenna bolts just to remove it! After that it was more interference hunting. Freezing rain and working a test stick don't go well together. Not to mention being in the ghetto of Flint Mi. The guy that likes to work with me makes my day go very long. He likes to give orders, never drives, only worries about where to eat,and sleeps half the time I'm driving. The really bad part of it is our boss considers us equals but put him in charge. Enough crying about work.

Hope everybody is survivng this nasty weather. We have allot of flooding around here.

Have a good night all

Evening all!

Long day today and working on a difficult project requiring a lot of research and some self teaching. I like this kind of project but I have so many other things to keep up with it is tough to keep the focus.

Ryan - no need to explain. We know where your heart is at. It is really tough being a sole proprietor. There is no one to cover for you when you are sick or just need to have a low key day and the bills still have to be paid. I have been there.

LAZ - I will be at the ROC Friday am. I posted on your breakfast post.

Beautiful cool day here today. 70s this weekend and should be great for the NASCAR races Fri and Sat night.

Regards, Roy

Ohayƍ,

The weather is especially pleasant today and it looks like we should have an enjoyable weekend as well.  I had a fun 3-mile run this morning and I am now taking a quick break from work to post.  Amazingly, I do not have much on my agenda today so I may be able to cut out of work early.

Doug M. – I think you might need to come up with a different birthday present list if you want to celebrate the next one with her. Smile, Wink & Grin

SP Ray – The Olive Garden does not know how to make authentic Italian food.  What amazes me is how much our daughter loves it even though my wife and I make authentic Italian food so she knows what it is supposed to taste like.  I even make homemade pasta sometimes. Sigh  I’ll be praying for your friends.

Brent – Thanks for the information.  It sounds like you have nice plans for this Christmas.  I used some white bunting material to simulate snow.  It comes in big sheets and it does not come apart (unless you pull on it) so it will not mess with the trains.  The FasTrack lays down on top it nicely.  Did you mean the new O-31 FasTrack?  I have not bought any yet but I need to soon so I can add an inner loop to our under-the-bed RR.

Sayonara,

Joe

OK guys, should probably clear something up about Danette. She's only a friend of mine, nothing more. Not looking to get into a relationship with her, and she isn't looking into getting in into one either. Besides that, the airshow is something that we're going to do as friends. Not only that, but she showed real interest in the Air and Space Museum, so there's a good chance that'll go through with her.

Temp is 37. Sad

No rain today but more is expected. A box arrived at our house today but it wasn't a toy train. A large kinda flat one, has a new hood for a 75 Trans Am. (I think that's what it is). Custom built motor that goes a lot faster than I need to go. My son in law built the motor and my son bought the car from him. But they didn't have a hood. I had leftovers tonight, you don't want to know. I will wait for some Banilla.

I waited to long is not an excuse for missing York. You can get everything you need at the area set up for that purpose....S.J.

RT, truth be told, I really dont think I can get out of work.  Yeah, I own the place, but I am the only one there right now and it would mean closing for the day.

If we were more of a retail establishment, It wouldn't bother me, but people spend countless hours loading crap in there truck to sell to me, and when they get there and were not open, they get mad, sometimes not to ever return.

this fall for sure........... (I said that two years ago) ( Over 5 yorks ago)

I still might try Laz's breakfast  dont know yet

Evenin' boys.  Evenin' English.  Partly sunny & 77 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Was downright Paradise the past few days.  Haven't "splashed" the yatchet yet.  Got a few more things I wanna do to the hull before launch.  Next year will have to sand off all the paint on the keel, as looking pretty pock-marked.  To make me feel better, my 3 Princesses gave me a 260 page Hawaiian uke songbook.  That should keep my busy for a couple nights.  Wifey also gave me some spending moola for YORK.
