Morning.  Watching Fox news.  Usually don't as too far right.  Seems they are making sence today.  Had great breakfast buffet free with room.  Now off to the store.

One problem.  Which one of you Yankees stole the sun?  Still warn compared to NC and especially up Nawth.

KEV, will email you a nice place to hide a key [when I get home].  Got one for each of my vehicles.

Have a great day.

Temp is 26 and cloudy. Probably gonna stay right around there all day.

Kev I would be very careful about advice from the Chief. I hear he hid the keys Inside the cars.

A good breakfast this morning should last me into the late afternoon. I will be heading out soon to help setup the modular layout for tomorrows show. The last of the big shows for this winter season...S.J.

Good Morning, 39 and SUNNY in Bayville, NJ.

Chief, We stole the sun! It feels nice.

Went for a walk with the Dynamic Duo this morning. No incidents! WOW, it has been almost a week now. Chester just teased my Daughter's dogs that was about it.

Ryan, I would have done what you did. Keep him comfortable.

Jack: Dolls, Teddy Bears, you name it it is here.

Rich: Good Luck with the Divorce.

SJ: I missed you by a few minutes last night. We had to empty the freezers so they could be defrosted. Now to load them. That is a good idea that the Chief hides his keys inside the car. This way he does not loose them. Whistling I have been there and done that!

Anybody hear from Traindood? I miss his comments about the Yankees.

Have a Great Day!

John

Brent, cute picture with all the animals around the baby.  Can see she's already spoiled.

Chief, sorry you're having no sun in Florida.  I went fishing a few years ago with my brother down on the Southen tip of Florida in February.  We towed a boat all the way from Virginia and never put it in the water.  Weather was lousy.  They were having a cold snap.  Stayed in unheated cabin and they had to bring in electric heaters.  Finally turned nice on the day we left.  That figures!  We gave up on fishing and went sight seeing while down there.  I did get to see alligator alley and Key West Florida.

Re RDU airport, when I went through there last November enroute to see my sister in Jacksonville, N.C. I did get some assistance from someone who transported me from the gate to the baggage claim.  Must be diffrent people than the sky caps.

Train meet tomorrow at TTOS.  Might go late which is OK because the auction doesn't start until 1;00PM or later which gives me time to go to church in the morning.

Good operating session yesterday wtih trains.  No pile ups.

Now for my morning walk.  85 degrees today.

Evening all. Not a lot going on here. Went and got my ears lowered today. Went to Cadillac dealer and found out about having to get the on star upgraded so I can use it as the year after mine was issued they switched to digital.

Went to Barnes and Noble no price guide although there inventory said they had one they offered to ordered me one figured if I was going to order one I could do it here from home and look for the best deal.

My present price guide is from 2007 so figured it was about time to replace it.

Well having trouble doing what I want with the switches and the signals I wanted to hook up with them still heres a couple of ideas I haven't used up yet.

Just need to slow down and see if I can get it to work one way or another lol.

Time to figure out what to have for dinner.

Good evening all,

When is this &*(^%&()* snow going to end?  It is not much and does not accumulate much, but it is annoying when driving to have it flying right at you.  Cold in SE Indiana with temps in the 20s.  Went to see grandson's last basketball game.  He got 4 points in a 24-10 win.  Not that I talk basketball much, but all 3 county teams made the sectional finals tonight and all 3 have a good chance of winning, which would be the first time ever, I think, but I am not sure because as I said, I do not follow basketball much.  Grandson and daughter are staying overnight with us as she cannot drive much yet and she is going to an event on her husband's side of the family tomorrow in town.  All of them are watching "Evan Almighty" now.  Work was another zoo on Friday.  Daughter is slowly improving.  I see where no one is talking about Danica's qualifying position this week (40th).  TBIL anytime tonight.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Greetings from Cranbury FD, NJ

Standing by here until late as they are at their annual dinner.  Did laundry, paperwork and put up my HD TV for the week as the parents are not here.  Screen is way too big for my small living room.  Will put the small TV back in by Tuesday.

We're ordering dinner, so I may be back later!

Evening all.  SLOW day.  Sun came out.  Been in shirt sleeves until now.  Breezy and chilly.  Had a good meal at Joes Crab Shack.  Now in room.

Met a young lady [in her early 20's] in the "business center" as I checked in and printed boarding passes there [no printer with laptop].  She made comment she was not from here.  I said, "South Africa."  She could not believe I recoginized her accent.  Very talkative.  Works for some world wide nerology firm.  Moving here as marrying an American [I wonder if she is using him].  Says South Africa is, "Going to hell in a hand basket."  I can guess.  She shoots a 30-06 and a Sig 9mm.  Showed me on her Facebook page.  Interesting lady.

Now for TV and rest.  OH, got a free drink from the bar with the room.  Settling in with a bloody mary.  Haven't had one in ages.

Aloha and happy Saturday. It was sunny and pleasant here - but still cold - thankfully so I can continue to use the great outdoors and the garage as a substitute fridge. Highlight of the day was meeting a buddy for coffee and donuts at our local 24 hour shop and then browsing some newly opened antique malls. Found a few ceramic houses I can paint for the layout. Picked up a mess of good books to read from the library and then read them. Church tonight and now on with the rest of the evening.

I received three Digitrax DH123 decoders in the mail today, each with 9 pin to DCC medium 3 inch 8-pin harness attached. I tested them and all three checked out A-OK. I refitted two with 9 pin to wires 7 inch harnesses. One will be going into the Rock Island E-R Models FP7 that's coming next week, assuming it doesn't need an overhaul. It looks good but you know what they say about appearances. No biggie if I have to shoehorn a motor into it. Speaking of locos, I tore down two today for their initial inspection. I already knew the motors wre good so the emphasis was on the gears. Everything checked out and they're back together, tested and back on the display rack. I was going to have dinner at home tonight but my father called and asked if I wanted to go to KFC. Well, yeah! We're both seniors so we get the senior citizen rate, so why not? Besides, he was buying!

It's going to be on the cool side tonight with a low of 28°. I'll have the heater on low. Well, time to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Finally..... I got the rest of my engines and cars packed.  What a job!  Just have a couple of Conventional Classics items to box in the morning, then I can take the rest to my storage room.  I'll be moving on to salvaging some of the layout and removing the track and controls.  Plan is to be moved out and settled in our temporary quarters by early April.

I must have missed something... and glad for it this time. I found Ryan's story quite amuzing.

Probe - No there are no 'visible' screws ANYWHERE on this door panel. You can pull the bottom off with a soft pop using a panel tool, and the top pops off the window edge without trouble... the problem is in the middle of the door where the arm rest is... there is something holding to the door and no visible indication what that something is, where it is located, or how to get to it. I removed the door and window control panel and nothing in there either. It may require removing the wood trim, but I'm very afraid of breaking it.

Jack - Neither Christina or Matthew will be permitted many more stuffed animals. They are dust and allergen collectors and since TheQ is highley allergic we can't have many in the house.

Konnichiwa,

The weather turned a bit chilly today (which I like) and it is overcast.  We had Sunday school and church this morning.  Late last night, some of my colleagues who work in Tokyo sent an email stating they scored some tickets to the UFC event that took place today near Tokyo.  Unfortunately, the news came too late for me to make any scheduling changes for Sunday school and church.  I teach Sunday school so not showing up was not an option.  Oh well, perhaps next time.  I just finished the crossword puzzle and will spend the rest of the day relaxing.  I start my final class tomorrow – 12 more weeks to the finish line.

Ryan – I’m sorry to hear about your cat.  Kev – I guess I missed what happened.  I hope we don’t lose him.

BOC – I hope the broken pipe issue is resolved.

Sayonara,

Joe

Mornin' boys.  Mornin' English.  Cloudy and 32 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Not much on tap today.

Picked up Middle Princess from College yesterday, and we all had a nice meal at Tidewater in HavreDeGrace.  Brought home a shirt with a cool rails and sails logo on same.

Morning.  Sun is out.  Understand that it was showering earlier.  52 cool Florida degrees.  Suppose to warm.  Then I heard, turn Yankee cold tonight or tomorrow night.

Go to breakfast and then the store.  Leave store for airport around 4 to 4:30.  Will not get to RDU until 11:15.  That means 12 midnight or so. Sad  That was the cheapest flight out.

I must have missed something on the "Ryan thingy". ???
