Hey, Any of you guys have Lionel Cruse control 6-ELRR1 in  a mid 90s duel engine Dash 8 40C??? How hard is it to install in one and post war engines?? Does it work with conventional operation?

E-Bay Briggs and Stratton FH sales have slowed down. Just listed 4 more items to end in 5 days. Maybe I will get Lucky.

Prayers for Fife's little princes.  Angel

It was a quiet day. Me and the couch did a little snuggling this afternoon. We had scattered snow flurries but it was too warm to stick.  Will try and stay up for the thingy ride..Banilla is ready....S.J.

Got a cold.  Sneezing and runny nose.  Skipped a reception with the Gov. late this afternoon.  I know he was disappointed he did not get to see me. Wink  I have a meeting tomorrow with Home Buidlers Assoc.  Skipping it too.  Resting.

Hello again, and maybe the final time until Saturday. Still have to pack for D.C. trip after all.

Rain seems to have tappered off, looks good in D.C. right now.

Fife, thoughts and prayers for AlexisAngel  Very pretty girl.  I pray that she will come though this OK.

My dead MTH Proto 2 E6 came back to life for a few minutes yesterday.  I checked all the wiring and connections in the engine and fiddled with it a lot.  Put the shell back on and sat it on the track.  Powered it up and left it in idle for a few minutes.  Then when I moved thumbwheel on the controller it took off and ran in both directions for about 5 minutes then stopped suddenly while running.  Sounds like a loose connection somewhere or a short maybe.  Must not be a bad board if it can still run.

Nice weather continues.  Went for a walk before breakfast.  Still not used   to time change.  Got up at  8:30AM and had breakfast about 10:00.  Now it's almost time for lunch but probably won't eat until 2:00PM.  Been going to bed around 1:00AM.

later,

Ray

Good afternoon all,

Prayers for Alexis.  Was going to rant about the weather, but sometimes other matters take precedence.  Had a good evening with grandson again.  Work is a bear again.  At least I did not drive today.  TBIL and I can drive with barrel rolls for a successful surgery hopefully on the agenda.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Morning.  Cloudy and breezy.  Had some heavy showers earlier.  Suppose to blow out by noon.  We'll see.  Errands and then some outside stuff if this rain is gone.  If not, Box.

Have a good one.

Temp is 35, sky is gloomy.

We had a good group on the Tardis last night, one never knows who might show up. Granny's been talking Dress Barn for several weeks now so I offered to take her this morning and she declined. Go figure. No big plans for today. I hope Alexis surgery will go well today..S.J.

Aloha. Grey and flurry-ish. The roads were as icy as I've ever seen them this am. Funny, how Kev and I are in the same state but the weather can be so different. At least I get to ride the CTA later this morning. Maybe I'll get one of their new cars that riders loath (mostly because the seats face the aisle).

Ray, one of our cats loves to try to fit into tunnels - so I've adjusted them so I can easily put them back together after one of her visits,  and she picks up some foam-rubber 'walls' to carry around like a mouse. Since she's much older and gets tired of the kittens, we let her have a peaceful place in the basement. In fact, I've made a place for her to rest and watch the trains.

Fife, lifting up Alexis today and this week.

Good morning. It's 35° with 99% humidity. The high will be 68°.

Bright sunshine today with a 5 mph north wind. We'll see. Yesterday the weather guesser had said it would be 60+ with a 10 mph north wind. It never got above 54 and that wind coming off the lake was a lot faster than 10 mph. More like 25!

Today I'll try again to get the layout cleaned up. I did part of it yesterday but as usual other more important things got in the way. I'll probably do some movie watching too. My arms are aching a bit after wrestling that tractor all over 5.5 acres yesterday. I gotta get used to that again.

I've also been badly remiss in my loco patching. I have several locos that need something done in that regard, one of them adorned with a Union Pacific. That has to change. I just need to decide what color to mask it out with.

Got a 3927 track cleaner in yesterday but it has the repo bottles didn't realize but it has original box but no inserts so may have to buy a repo box to get the inserts.

Good morning all,.... an unplanned rainy morning this AM.  at least its 52 deg.

the old mouth is a tad sore this am......

now with all this rain, I dont know if I'll be able to use the excavator, without making more of a mess.   This was all suposed to happen for another month or two, but free is free.

LAZ, I got 5 acres of rotten leaves or forest floor or what ever they call it, come on down and dig away.... here soon, those crawlers will be everywhere!  At least two big ones in a handfull of soil....

JOE: what part of PA?  Strasburg, although not really a train show, is not to missed, got the TCA national museum, Strasburg Steam RR, Choo Choo Barn, the train museum, Amish food, if its trains, toy or real, its in strasburg

got a call from my LHS and my DCS is in.......  for what I have been spending on MTH equiptment, what another 300.00 to unlock ALL the features.......  I am paying for them weather I use them or not, so might as well use em'

well, the day must begin......

Konbanwa,

Today was just another usual day so I’ll just write a few words.

SJ – Thanks for the information.  I’m hoping there are some train shows going on when I’m in PA and VT this June.

Doug – The vintage posters link did not work for me.

RT – That’s a great deal on the TMCC set.  I regret not buying a set one time when I could have had it for $100.

Fife – I’ll pray for Alexis.

Sayonara,

Joe

And a fine good morning it is...

As our rivers/creeks/streams have awoken to the sound of rushing high waters from all the dang runoff and rain we got yesterday ...sheeesh. The ground around here is so saturated that we squish and leave footprints in the mud around hereWhistling

...and we are now headed back towards good old winter...for another winter week....Grumpy

Can you tell  I'm awake? I had to create another channel for our backyard lake to escape...again...in the middle of the downpour...as it got into our basement via one of our window wells....sighSigh

So, today I will be checking the neighbourhood out as it will only be  40% chance for anything to fall out'n the skies....Huh?

Have a good day, everyone!!

Fife, From our lips to God's ears. Angel

Quiet day here for me, spent most of the day in the kitchen. The "BetterHalf" had a small henparty so I cooked lunch, Jambalaya w/andouille, chicken and shrimp. Best part is she has a Relay For Life meeting tonite so I get the leftovers for supper, not exactly "salt healthy" but it's the only salt I've had today. Dinner

Got the monthly CHF meeting tomorrow morning, topics are medications and diet. The BetterHalf and I will be taking in our healthy recipe Salsa and no-salt tortilla chips for others to sample, however there will be NO margaritas. Clown

Kicking around some ideas for the diorama for the Relay for Life, bidding on a battery operated crossing signal. Hope it doesn't exceed my bid, only got about $10 left on maxing out PayPal and I'm not about to link to a bank account.

Might be back later, if not "Nite All".

P.S. Fife, She's so cute she most definitely must take after her mother. Smile, Wink & Grin
