That is correct. I do live in PA.
I also heard that there was a Towanda, Kansas.

You talking about the comment on contacting Dean and Jeff? I thought about it to but I think they both take out ads in the mag so I figured it would be ok, It is a shame you have to think about what and how you answer someone who is asking for help.
Geoege the cat is back from the vet and as I thought he has not recovered as he should of by now. So she scraped the ulcer on his eye to open up the edges so the medication can get into the wound. Hope this works. He goes back in a week. He was not a happy camper in the office and they were wondering why I had on leather gloves. Good news was they only charged $15.00 for todays visit so I have some beer money now.

Sorry, don't have an account, and when I tried to access a page one time, it said that I needed to have one.
Aloha. Sunny and cold today. Posted some photos of my work to date on Ivor's layout in a separate thread. Tell me what you think. Praying for your friend's family, Chief. Ray, happy belated anniversary. Hope your wife is doing better. Fife, congrats on the purchase. WV is one of those states I haven't had the pleasure of visiting. Photos of the county are beautiful! Bob, great work on those Thomas engines!

Mornin' FellasProbe - Yes I saw the pic, and if you take that on you are crazy... Chief - Sorry for your loss Had to mow the leaves last night in the dark since it is to rain today. Don't like doing that because it is very dangerous (can't see sticks and rocks that blew into the yard due to high winds in Sunday). But got er done wihtout any injuries.Have to get working on setting up the Christmas decorations tonight. Hope to get that done tonight and tomorrow, then be able to rest Thursday and Friday. Saturday there is a show in Timmonium (Fife?) that I hope to make. May take the munchkin if TheQ is proctoring exams again.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a cold 34 degrees. Snow flurries. Going up to 46 with some sunshine later.
Today is a busy day. I have chores to do and a phone call to make. Busy morning. Lunch and a nap will be nice.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.

Good morning. It's 50° with 100% humidity. It's supposed to be mostly cloudy with a high of 58°. There's a small chance of rain in the morning.I'm feeling much better this morning. Still have some minor balance issues. I suspect this cold I have is responsible for that. We had rain last night so it's already very muggy this morning. Start doing anything outside and it's not long before you're soaked.I have no idea what this day has in store for me. Plans for my future that I don't know about worry me. My father is supposed to be having a couple of Hospice people come today. We'll see what comes of that. He'll also be placing an ad in the local paper for a live-in nurse to care for my mother on a 24/7 basis. Something has to be done as she can't take care of herself any longer.I may be able to get some work done on the layout today. I just don't know.

green97probe Did you see the photo of my potential next project on FB?
Hmmmm...........
Now what do you mean by FB? Sorry, I'm just not familiar with that.
green97probeBeen playing with the 751 and 717 dump car. Gilbert definitely had Lionel beat in the log loader department. The 751 is much more fun than Lionel's 164 or 364.
Don't blame you. However, Lionel was definitely in the right state of mind with the Automatic Milk Cars.
green97probeThe 322AC is nice, but is DOA.
Lovin' my 2020. Had problems with E-unit, quick cleaning freed it up.
Chief,
Sorry to hear about your friend.
Fife,
Congrats. Any plans for a future layout?
Bob,
Thanks. Speaking of that 302, I'll post a video once I get home tomorrow. It's done minus the coupler.

Hello all
Another quiet evening on the mountain. A brisk 35 deg F out there tonight.
Landlord thanked me for sending the pics of the cleaned house and my new mailing address (hopefully where she will be sending the rest of my deposit soon). Looks like this all may be coming to an end finally.
Ray - Happy 53rd!
Chief - those pictures kinda look like the painting in my bedroom, but please don't set up another stand in there... Fair winds and following seas for your friend
JimT - nice find!
Spent some time last night cleaning and repairing these little battery operated Thomas the Tank engine jobs, which are somewhere between HO and S scale in size. My friend's aforementioned 6yr old likes to play w/ them in the dirt and water, which tends to gum up the gears. I repaired one recently and then got a whole bagful of dead ones. Lots of little gears and parts, but fairly easily repairable. Just takes some patience. Plus I have a few donor engines if necessary.
CAUTION: Thomas fans may find the following images somewhat disturbing!
The current 'dead' line:
The parts yard:
And the ready line:
I think I will be able to get 7 operating ones out of the bag of 10 I got. At $12 - 14 apiece this will save my friend about $100. It's kind of like working on a real railroad too, at least shopwise. Early on I had to keep telling myself not to get too crazy on these things. Just get 'em back out on the line as fast as possible since more will be coming into the shop soon!
I also found a pretty good deal on a Marx 999 last night. Was even a better deal since I forgot about some shipping funds I had on account (Thanks JimT!) I promised my friend's kids that I would set up a train around the tree this year and I figure one of these is tough enough to take the abuse. I'll have it drag around the cars remaining from the late Marx windup. Plus, I've always wanted one of these and can have in on display at the new place.

Looks like I'll have the a/c on tonight. Low of 55 and a 70% chance of rain. Maybe it'll wash some of the dust off my van.Well, I'm still not feeling all that great. I'm calling it a night a bit early. I just can't keep me head up any longer. See y'all tomorrow.
fifedog Well, missed out on cyber Monday. Wifey and I did purchase 10 acres in Hampshire County, WV. Now, I need to start considering selling a 13x13 winter layout with a 55 year old cape cod covering it.

Fife - Congratulations on getting started on your retirement. That is awesome news!!!
Chief - for your friend.

Off to bed, no trees sold tonight

Long day at the hunt. Deerr but still no shooters.
From camera of my deep woods stand. Two different bucks with big antlers. Left beam on one is non-typical.
WOW Cool Fifedog, Take it from me acres are neat but a lot of work and we only have 8.2. We shopped for it for over 7 years. A lifetime dream come true. You can move anything. It took me longer to move the garage stuff than all of the house.
It is fun doing the build. We plan to down size when wifey is ready to retire. I know I will not be able to keep up with all that this land requires in another ten years.
Neat, enjoy your dream. I know where you are coming from. Building a dream is what life should be all about. A great place for the Grand Kids to play and grow. Ours love it out here, as for their folks, well it may be something else. For us, Sandra and I have been blessed and had the chance to build something for our family from scratch twice. Many never get the chance.
I think Roy is working on something the same too.
LV2089,
Sent you a PM.
green97probe Ray, Happy anninversary. Flyer overload today. Grabbed the GPS and took a trip to Toby Tyler's Hobby Center in Pittsburgh. Two cases stuffed with Flyer. Saw these two and couldn't pass them up. The 751 Log Loader has been high on my want list for a long, long time. The fact that he had a 714 to go with it really did it. The UPS guy dropped off the 322AC as I was heading out earlier, and I have yet to open it. NOTE: This post is in no way, shape, or form intended as an advertisement.

wrconstruction aaahhhhhh I spent the day cutting through red tape, pink tape, yellow tape, blue tape, white tape, orange tape, more red tape, some more red tape, and even more red tape, and even even even even more red tape. All for a measly 12 month DOD contract I think the Feds own the factory that makes red tape...... After all this I bet we won't get the contract anyway Too tired for layout work tonight Ryan

If you think that is bad try to get something done with Sprint.
Just so you know why I am mad at Sprint. This is what Sprint is doing to people in Rural America. I can not call my home land line from my living room with my Sprint phone and anyone else with a Sprint phone can't call our land line. It is by design and is not just here, it is in all Rural areas, see attached link from the FCC.

Had dinner with my parents today at their place. Fried catfish, onion rings, coleslaw, beans, hush puppies. Yes, very diabetic unfriendly but delicious.I know my parents have been married a long time but I wasn't exactly sure how long. So I asked. Fifty-six years. I wish them all the best but I strongly suspect there won't be a fifty-seventh anniversary. Even my father doesn't think so anymore. He counts every day they have together as special and he tries to make the best of it.
