Nice video Probe :)
Running late, sorry. Prayers for those in need. Had the HVAC guy out for clean and check this morning - all is well. Spent a few hours doing drywall - all done except corner beads and block in one pipe, move a couple wires and then ready to tape and mud. Nice chat with the guys tonight - lots of talk about Ivor and Transformers (trains).
TARDIS is ready and we have banilla, cookies and rootbeer, so let's hit it guys!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
PS - Happy Anniversary John! Woot!
Mornin' boys. Partly cloudy and 30 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Fifepup got "promoted" from bag-boy to stocker (frozen food). Maybe he can hook you guys up on banilla?
Hudson - 2 days left in November, let's not go easy now....
Probe - Nice accessory. Have we broke the news to Mom that you're moving to Roseyville...?
Harold - Rather go hillbilly, than Balti-moron...

Been dreary lately here in Towanda. Cold and cloudy. Been a while since we last saw the sun in it's entirty. Last time was probably since before the snow that we got on Tuesday, so Monday afternoon?
Doen't compare to the shortage of sunlight that we had during Sandy though along the whole eastern seaboard.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill RR....
It is a cold and frosty 24 degrees. Going up to 50 today with sunshine.
Today is a busy day. Wife is grocery shopping. I have some chores to do and some paperwork to finish. Put groceries away and have lunch. Then, a nice nap.
Dining car is here with Cheerios for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Thursday.

Good morning. It's 33° with 100% humidity. It'll be mostly sunny with a high of 65°.Nothing special planned for today. I have an intense pain right between my shoulder blades. I'm hoping that'll fade before noon. I'll probably be going to town later to make a bank deposit. There it is. The possible schedule for my exciting day.

ALoha. Sunny and warming today. Walking the youngest to school. As Brutus mentioned, great ride on the TARDIS last night, then more work on the layout accompanied by a dull Chelsea-Fulham Stamford football game on the telly. Nothing better for inspiring layout work than English Premier League. . Looks like tonight I am scheduled to take the youngest skating with his class. That should be fun. Jeffrey, hope you are feeling better. When I have a similar pain, I'm usually told that it is because my tiny brain is working too hard.

Morning. Chilly with Yankee frost. Warming as the sun comes up. Staying around here today. Plans changed as wind changed. Wifey now says go to lake house next week and weekend to do leaves and decorations. Probably hunt tomorrow.
Guess I will stop sticking pins in the Kev doll.
John, stay warm and lazy. You are "short" as we use to say in the Army.
All have a great day.

After a trip to the store this morning, I must take note that it's too cold for a fall Lev# jacket. Granny seems a little better but she likes laying on the couch right now. We have 2 so my nap is secure. Stay safe you all..S.J.
I did that without the southern drawl..:)

Here is your Ho Hos and Dind Dongs. The root cause. IMHO
Drive a company into the ground and then want more money.
NEW YORK (AP) - Hostess Brands Inc. says it's in talks with more than 100 parties interested in buying its brands, which include Twinkies, Ding Dongs and Ho Hos.
Those interested parties now include at least five national retailers such as supermarkets, a banker for the company said in bankruptcy court Thursday. The process has been "so fast and furious" the company hasn't been able to make the calls seeking buyers it previously intended, said Joshua Scherer of Perella Weinberg Partners.
"Not only are these buyers serious, but they are expecting to spend substantial sums," he said.
The update on the sale of the company's brands came as Hostess seeks approval in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Southern District of New York in White Plains, N.Y. to give its top executives bonuses totaling up to $1.8 million as part of its wind-down plans. The company says the incentive pay is needed to retain the 19 corporate officers and "high-level managers" during the liquidation process, which could take about a year.
Two of those executives would be eligible for additional rewards depending on how efficiently they carry out the liquidation. The bonuses would be in addition to their regular pay.
The bonuses do not include pay for CEO Gregory Rayburn, who was brought on as a restructuring expert earlier this year. Rayburn is being paid $125,000 a month.
The good news is it sounds like someone will be making them.

Jack, you were only 8 when I got married? Didn't know you were such a young whipper snapper. BTW, nice job from Maximus. Surprised he didn't have that other dog for lunch.
Jim, Nice job on the Flyer Atlantic steam engine. Love the choo choo sounds they make.
V8, I like the way the thread numbers used to be too.
Streets were wet this morning but no measurable rain since I got up. Bottom of my sump behind garage was still dry this A.M.
Chief, good snow clearing video. Did you ever see the SP company film called Snow on the Run? That's a good one too about one of the worst storms on record in the Sierras in California. Snow was up to the top of telephone poles in places. Lineman were walking along in snow shoes pulling wires out of the snow. That's the year the City of San Francisco passenger train got stuck up there and had to be rescued by the Army.
Have a good day all,
Ray.

Is this dejavu all over again? This story sounds familiar.

Talking about a story, here is one for you. My wife's sister lives in California by Long Beach and has been a Heroin junky for more than 25 years, Claims she is not now. Anyway she has a doctor that has claimed that she is bipolar so the great state of California is giving her more money a month than I will get after 40 years of working for a living from the SS fund. What is wrong with that??? California's tax dollars at work.
Two months ago she called the MIL and said when she was throwing the trash into the dumpster she went over the rail with it and broke both arms and legs so she was in the hospital on the state's dime????? Yeah RIGHT I would of loved to seen the people she owed the money to, do that deed.
Got my laundry done, made the bank deposit and picked up some items I needed from Lowe's. That's my day done. My mother goes back to the nursing home today. She needs care and physical therapy we can't give her here. Just moving her from room to room is a major chore and usually requires more than one person. Problem is during the day there's no one else and I can't move her on my own. I did that yesterday and today I can hardly move. A family vote was taken yesterday and the vote was that she goes back for as long as the insurance lasts. Even she voted yes. In the meantime something will have to be set up for 24/7 care.

Kev, I just thought the story about the Hostess company executives with their golden parachutes sounded like a story we have heard before. Anyway, glad somebody will eventually get their Twinkee fix with a new company taking it over.

Only hunting for the big boys. 10 pointers or big 8. Carried digital camera. Was going to zoom in on him and photo for you to see. Will try that tomorrow if under 10 points.
Yeah Chief that is good to let the small guys grow up. 10 points are far and few between here but an 8 point can be seen now and then.
I got that motto from a guy who hunts on the neighbors land. The jerk shot a small 3 pointer dunning the youth hunt, Said he thought it was a doe. An idiot, and a poacher
Ray,
Lets hope the new company is run better than the old one.
Probably going to be in for one HECK of a night.
First, Jazz Band practice. 3:15 to 4:00
Work, 4:15 to maybe 6:30
Homework, 7:00 to maybe 10ish if I'm lucky, (physics and trignometry).
My right leg hurts as well. Not looking forward to tonight.
Everyone else have a good one!

Looking around on the net today and came across what I think is about the craziest thing on rails. The Toonerville Trolley. You have to see one in action to really appreciate it. A great way to get a laugh.I had some mad money laying around so used some of it to pick up a Digitrax DZ125 decoder on Ebay. $21.99 total. I'll use it to change out the one in one of Bachmann GP7's. That one has a damaged lighting circuit. The light stays on all the time. It won't turn off for anything and comes on the instant power goes to the track no matter what loco is selected. Other than the light problem the decoder works fine, so I'll likely put it in a slug unit that doesn't need a light.

The Eastern Depot in Troy, PA had one this past Sunday. Don't know if it was a reproduction or original, but was a cool little item.
Off to bed. Up early and driving east. Back dark 30+.
Heat pump [a mini-split] in the Box has acted up off and on. It is a strange named product. Been trying for months to get info on the thing. My HVAC guy is familiar with the popular brands. Well, did some back tracking as of sorts. Had emailed a distributor of HVAC parts in CA. Got a snotty email back. So I called and got a live person on the phone. Very nice young lady. She did some research and said that she had a replacement part if it was needed. Asked if they had manuals for sale. Did not but gave me a number of a manufacturer in PA. Called and was told they did not manufacture the heat pump but gave me a number in TN. Sure enough. Got the nicest guy [Quality/Engineer is his title]. Well, he rattled off stuff about how to test. Then he said, "Have your HVAC man call me when he gets to your unit. I will talk him through some things to test." He basically knows what my guy has to do to get it right. Also he sent me three PDF files. I downloaded the operator's manual, service manual and installation manual. Cost me paper and ink. My guy has the service manual to look over before coming to the Box. Makes you feel good when someone takes pride in their product and job.
Sleep tight.

A quiet day after getting groceries this morning. A fresh supply of banilla is now in stock. I will wait for the thingy crew..S.J.
First day back to work since Cathy had her surgery. She said it was the worst day so far. I believe it because neither of us got more than 2 hours of sleep. She just couldn't get comfortable and she no longer has any morphine in her, just oxycodone. Better days are ahead.
HudsonJohn - By the time you read this you will be semi-retired. Some of you may not be aware he has a part-time job. Good luck to you. Just can't wait for the retirement party next spring (by then she'll have it planned)
Jim - Nice job on the 302. Those Atlantic's do run nice.
SJ - I agree. If anyone can watch Christmas Vacation without laughing, somethings wrong with you!

Happy Semi-Retirement John!!!!
Prayers for Tyler and Cathy.
Tonight was haircut night. Had a nice chat with the guys about autoloaders - Lionel v MTH, and other pressing issues of the day. Need to hit Home Depot tomorrow on the way home from work for a few supplies for the weekend.
Glad you got the paperwork, Chief - and a line on someone who can help get that thing fixed. Heat pumps don't work in MO, as the temps get too high or too low, not sure which.
TARDIS is ready and I could do with some of that lemon icecream, but we will also have banilla!
