Update on wifes status. Surgery later today to remove her gallbladder. All is ok so far.

I remember when my mom went through surgery for her gallbladder. It wasn't fun waiting.

Hope everything stays ok. Angel

Chief, sorry for the loss of your friend. R.I.P.

Maybe a little rain in the forcast in the next day or two.

Went for blood test today for doctor visit next week.  Hoping for better numbers this time.

Prayers Tyler Angel

Prayers for anyone I missed Angel

Hope all having a good day today.

Well got my last shipment in the 2353 SF F unit was the dummy unit no horn but in very good condition so still a plus I guess but what really was nice surprise was the readin caboose was a illuminated smoking caboose haven't tried it out as don't have any smoke fluid but kinda worried thou as this is one of those with no switch and they will burn out easy if I remember correctly if no fluid included. I also got a 3456 N&W opperating hopper car, I MTH log dump car with logs, MTH Flatcar (looks like scale) K-line grey santa Fe hopper, PRR/Baby ruth boxcar from the 50's in fair condition, 6511 pipe car no pipes and only missing one metal stantion ( think I have a couple of them in my parts boxes) So still did okay on the deal. but not as good as I thought I was doing but thats life.

Talk to you all later

found the hidden on/off switch lol

Evenin' boys.  Rainy day in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Got a 98% at the pistol range.

Thanks for the kudos guys.  Been angling on this property for a couple of years, and it all kinda fell in place for us mid-September.  Patience rewarded, you might say.  Not sure what's gonna happen layout wise; either with the current set-up or something new.

KRM - I have been admiring your cottage.  We are going modular.

88 - Wifey and I will be at the show Sunday.  I have to work Saturday afternoon.  Property is only 90 minutes from Hagerstown, so I can see me picking you up for York.

Chief - More like semi-retarded.

That is great Fife. Ours is semi modular. It came in on three trucks. Floor decking sections, outside and inside walls with windows and doors, and rafters. It was standing in 6 hours and roofed by the next day. From there  it was much like a stick build. My cousin built a modular after the tornado in 1990 and it is very nice. All he had to finish was the attic.

Ours is a Warsaw home with Log sidding. You will enjoy the ride, it is fun building dreams. Wink How long before you will be full time retarded? Like me Confused Laugh

Brent,

The way I see it, if I start in the yard, I might have better luck.Wink  I've already found that the back of a dealer's lot is a no no LOL.

Not real happy right now.  Was all set to make videos of the 302 I got from Bob, and the 751 Log Loader.  Well, the 751 decided to self destruct.Angry  The large wheel that drives the carriage came crashing down due to a loose set screw, and the shaft that it mounts to got pushed up into the gearbox when I tried to put the wheel back in place.Bang Head

Kev -I've been reading some of your posts on some of the other theads. Careful. Lol."

You talking about the comment on contacting Dean and Jeff? I thought about it to but I think they both take out ads in the mag so I figured it would be ok, It is a shame you have to think about what and how you answer someone who is asking for help. Tongue Tied

The day you can't link to other sites to help someone out is the day I'll stop posting on this forum. This was NOT an advertisement, so there is nothing wrong with the post. We've been doing this for years...

CTT doesn't want you posting items for-sale here, which I get, but if someone is looking for an item there is nothing wrong with posting a link to a site that has it for-sale - we post links to EBay alot!

I agree 110% with that.  I thought helping and socializing with people was the very point of forums?  If I can't do either of those, I'll be out as well.

The only time I can remember having a problem with that was a certain company stop advertising in CTT and came on talking about how great there product was and where you can obtain it I told him he had crossed the line and selling wasn't aloud on this site and he tried to say he wasn't Bob got involed and remove the thread only other times new peeps trying to tell of there ebay sales and they promply removed when informed or ctt removed them.

as promised some pics of the bench work I started and my control console I worked on last weekend

This Large control console was a mandatory fixture I required for my new layout  other than paint, It took me about a day to build

the under side will be painted bright  white, so I can lable my terminal strips and relays easier

gonna be a lot of  "relay logic" operation on this.

more to come .... Ryan

Now this looks like it could be a lot of fun:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rwy1gHnX6HA&feature=player_detailpage

Spent some early morning yesterday at the museum working on Christmas decorations. Got some wreaths, garland and some decorative gift sacks put up. Might have gotten more done but up in the front of the museum, by the front entrance to the SD Model RR Museum, there was a bit of a flood. Haven't heard much today but it appears that the damage to the RR portion was limited to the gift shop just inside the front door. The snack bar on the next floor up had a water line burst sometime during the nite, 3" of water in the foyer, looked almost like a mini water fall coming over the edge in the stairway.

Today was Grandma&Grampa 911, the munchkin got sick at school and our daughter couldn't get a sub to take her class. G&G to the rescue.

Time to figure out what's for supper.

Later all.

p.s. Chief, condolences on the loss of a great friend and a vet. Angel

You become a hillbilly as soon as you move to South Towanda in Pennsylvania. No induction needed.        LaughLaugh

Sad and happy day.  Sad buddy is gone but know he is better off.  Also joins his wife who died years ago.  She was burried on the farm he bought.  He would walk down each afternoon and talk to her.  His son did an eulogy which was right on.  Born in Oregon, moved to Bakersfield with Mom to his Uncle.  Graduated from college in architectural landscaping.  Worked in for a while.  Did some acting [use to tellme about the famous actors he knew in the 40's.  25 years US Navy pilot and so on.  Loved fancy cars [owned Bentleys and Rolls] but love his Chevy Silverado puckup which he traded about every 6 months.  Was a great artist, wood worker and leather worker.  Expert marksman.  Loved the USA but lived all ovr the world.  Gave his money to help others and to his Church.  As his son said, God always blessed P. C. [what everyone called him].

Off to bed.  Sleep tight.

PS: Kev is right.  Bear was seen leaving the woods looking back over his shoulder and shaking his head.  Whole herd of deer running across the big fields.  Turkeys flew to next county. Laugh

Time to call it a night, or a morning depending where you are. See y'all later.
