Wow - November!  How did that happen?  Nice chat last night - also found an mp3 for the theme to the Ivor cartoons, might buy it as a ringtone for my phone Stick out tongue  Was just thinking the other day - will Lionel ever bring out those docksiders again but with built in tmcc?  They can put it in Thomas now?  That would be a great upgrade.  I know someone made an add-on board a while ago, but it's no longer available and apparently it was very difficult to install correctly.  Char still has a cough, so she is going to call the doctor tomorrow about that.  TARDIS is ready and we have left-over chocolate icecream that SJ didn't hand out last night Thumbs Up

Good Evnin' Y'all From Leafless 51 Degrees Cape Ann Taxachusetts,

Sandy blew the snot out of the trees, leaves mostly gone except for a few resistant stragglers.  ......don't know where all them suckers went but they ain't in my yard.  The cherry tree leaves are still green, haven't fallen yet.  And the neighbor's gigantic willow still carries most of its foliage as well.  Other than that, we be barren!!!

Brent and KEV......Eeyore and Tinkerbell!!!!!!!!!!!  Thumbs UpThumbs UpBig Smile

Wifey called on her way to White Plains NY, can't get gas in Connecticut because of power outages.  I topped off her car this morning.  If she would drive a tad more sedately she could have made it down and then at least back to Taxachusetts before having to refuel.  Told her she had better refuel wherever she can in White Plains or she won't make it home tomorrow night!  Hmmmmmm.....that's a thought.Smile, Wink & Grin Laugh

Off to happy nappy land.

Evenin' All.

What a crazy week ! Finally finished halloween layout and garage decor about an hour before the ghouls & goblins started to show-up. The last few days of set-up got a tad whacky, first the pressure regulator on the water line failed followed in short succession by the water softener blowing it's seals and then a 90* elbow gave out. The same afternoon the real topper was a broken tooth, told the better half to get some orange facepaint and with a big smile I could pose as a human jack-o-lantern. As a result of the weeks "festivities" it appears as if there will be no train budget for quite awhile.

However it was a great evening, three sets of neighbors came over and the ladies handled the candy dispersal while the gents had a good time shootin' the breeze. A little wine and only one brew was consumed while the evening progressed. The better-half and I went thru almost 14# of the Child's Play mix and one of the neighbors brought about 5# of the Hersheys mini's mix, they still had about a third of their's when they went home at about 8. We were still getting the straglers till about 9:30. Many returnees looking for new pieces on the layout and one 4yr old that his Dad almost had to drag him out after about a half-hour. It was close to shutting down so I let his Dad bring him inside the railing so they could check-out the trains up-close.

Was it a real killer getting it done in time, you bet.

Will I do it again next year, does a wild bear go in the woods.

See youz tomorrow.

Looks like we might get a NOR EASTER next week?  Hope not.

Aloha and TGIF! Sunny and cold this morning. Church meeting last night so missed the TARDIS. Brutus, I remembered where I had seen Ivor audio - and it's free: http://www.smallfilms.co.uk/ivor/  Looks like my mom's part of CT might get power back by Tues. Trying to convince my mother to go stay with my sister in Brooklyn. She thinks she's better off. LOL.

Good morning. It's 66° with 100% humidity and fog. It'll be mostly sunny with a high of 85°.

No plans today for layout work. It's possible that my mothers nurse/minder will have to leave this afternoon for a med appointment for herself. If that's the case I'll have to go down there and watch over my mother. That means being on my feet quite a bit. I'm looking forward to that like root canal surgery! It won't be a pleasant experience. Nothing happening here this morning. I got some of the clutter off the layout yesterday. It's a start.

Morning.  No big buck.  Had to compete with cotton picker.  So got in one of my stands.  About "good deer time", here comes the big mower cutting the stalks for 30 minutes. Bang Head  Didn't bother the squirrels or a rabbit at the feeder.  Kept the turkeys away [I always see there late].  Sunny and warm.

No Box work.  Too busy doing Mayor and, what time I have off, hunting.  Got Fall Festival tomorrow all day.  Will draw a crowd.  Free hotdogs for all.

Prayers for the northeast.

Post # 7 I think what a way to run a railroad.

It's 38 with partly sunny. Summer temps are gone for the next 8 or 9 months. Granny fixed me a big breakfast as I will be helping to set up the modules for a week end train show this afternoon. We will have er ready to go for noon tomorrow. You all enjoy your Friday..S.J.

Warning Warning Will Robinson, This softwear sucks!  Super Angry

I tried to add my location to my signature for V8Dennis and the thing won't let me install the tardis now without this message. Maximum signature length is 512 characters.   Dots - Sign  Well Jeffery and I thought that the Tardis that was to blame so I removed it but even without the spinning Tardis it will not let me enter more than two lines, and NO way is two lines 512 characters  Bang Head   Bang Head   Bang Head   Bang Head

Tis what it tis I guess. Sad

So whatever you do Don't mess with your old signature if you like it,  or this softwear will blow it away.  Tongue Tied

Was just thinking the other day - will Lionel ever bring out those docksiders again but with built in tmcc?  They can put it in Thomas now?  That would be a great upgrade.

Brutus,

I have had my Dockside apart way tooooo many times and I will tell you there is not much room in there. Good luck with that. The only thing with less room I have is the Plymouth Switcher. Surprise

Night  Guys

The electronics for tmcc is about the same size as the electronics already in there. So it would just be a switching of electronics. I beleive jefelectric did a conversion on one

Oh, that's a closely guarded secret! If I tell you that the mods are going to throw you down and tickle you silly!Mischief Nah, just kidding.Laugh Go to your profile. Click on your post count. To the left under 'Search Results' you'll see a number in bold numerals. Take a wild guess what that is. Subtract 1 and you have your approximate post count.Cool

Afternoon All:

Allow me to vent. We are still dealing with the effects of Sandy here on the east end of Long Island, and although we escaped the major damage that the Jersey Shore endured, many of us have no power.

No power also means no water as many of us use well water.

The kicker here is that our street is a priority street, and they did restore power to the street ends, the middle of the street has been "spliced" out, and here we sit 5 days later. The worst part is that our next door neighbor was ordered to trim a tree in front of their property, they never did and that is the very tree that is resting on the power lines.  They have a generator and are sitting fine, and no they have not offered refuge to their neighbors.

Maybe we will have power back at some point this weekend, and if so, I'll take some time to relax with the trains, before and after one heck of a clean up.

I'm done venting.
