Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, July 1, 2007 2:21 AM

i was doing a little surfing for local rr history and activites and found some real cool things to do locally. heres a few things to check out

thought it might be neat to start a thread about history and things to do involving rr locally in your area. so go ahead and post some activities.

This is a narrow gauge engine used to push coal cars the last leg for loading the coal into ships. This one was located in Sandusky, Ohio.

There are a few places to see here in south Florida also if you can get here.  Florida Gold Coast Railroad Museum in south Miami near the Metro Zoo, The Flagler Museum in Palm Beach FL(east of West Palm Beach) which is mainly an old motel that Henry Flagler(the founder of Florida East Coast Railway) built, Fort Myers has the Murder Mystery Train at night time-great food, west side of Tampa has a trolly system that uses old trolley cars. Also Mount Dora has a short line ride just outside of Orlando FL.
